🎸 What U2 Means to Me – by Chris Carney

As a guitarist in Beyond the Music – The Greatest Hits of U2 , I carry more than just riffs and rhythms — I carry echoes of a band that shaped generations.
U2’s music isn’t just iconic; it’s deeply personal. The Edge’s atmospheric playing taught me that texture is as powerful as technique, that simplicity can stir souls. His shimmering delay and emotive phrasing inspired me to find my own voice in the vast sonic landscape.
Performing U2’s greatest hits is more than a tribute — it’s a journey through passion, purpose, and sound that moves people. From the urgency of *Sunday Bloody Sunday* to the transcendence of *Where the Streets Have No Name*, I feel connected not only to the songs, but to their spirit. It’s a privilege to help audiences relive these timeless moments and keep their legacy pulsing through every note we play. #theedge #chriscarney #U2
