One year yesterday without the old man.
Still hurts but time helps.
Like a scab you can’t help but scratch.
Back with mum and I can’t imagine the pair of them happier.

1 - from NYE 1979 I think. Looking swish.
2 - in Malaya with Royal Signals in 1954-ish.
3 - with my mum, his birthday party in 1980. Bit merry.
4 - with Eve after the annual apple pick in 2020
5 - with me in 2017 at the end of my recruits course.

Today marks 15 years since my mum passed. She has missed so much.
And next week will be five months since dad passed. They’re back together somewhere I’m sure.

I can’t put into words how much I miss them.

Grief is a strange beast. Different for all of us.

Lovely start to the holiday on Mull.
Boat trip to the amazing Staffa island today to take advantage of the stunning weather (how is it back back home? 🤔).
And a day spent mucking about around the Treshnish headland and beaches.

More London.
Yes it’s touristy like nowhere else but it can also be incredible.
History, culture and famous stuff around every corner.

Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and the highlight - the London Eye.

Nearly 75k steps between the three of us.

A hell of a covering of snow on the northern fells today.

Treacherous drive to Branthwaite. Worth it for the walk.

Skye off the lead all the way. What a difference it makes.

Longlands, Lowthwaite, Little Sca Fell, Meal and through Trusmadoor. We couldn’t be arsed with Gt Sca or the Cockups.
