I'm honored to announce that Max has finally received the recognition he deserves.

"Maximus" (2024) Mixed media. Occasional zoomies. Selective hearing.

Critics have described the work as "equal parts adorable and emotionally manipulative."

The artist would like to remind visitors that petting the exhibit is encouraged. The exhibit, however, may lick your face and steal your sandwich. by @chrispatchellauthor

Hi All,

Great news. Readers in the US can download Find Her for FREE through Aug 5th.

When a murder investigation goes cold after a suspect kills himself,
Detective Lacey James has nothing but a chilling collection of weapons and a missing woman to help her prevent another body from ending up in the morgue. An unputdownable series starter!

https://www.amazon.com/Find-Her-Lacey-James-Mystery-ebook/dp/B09KMHFG42/

Hope you love it!

This little sandcastle knows something it's easy to forget.

Nothing last forever.

The tide will come. The wind will blow. Someone might accidentally step on it.

And yet... someone built it anyway.

Maybe resilience isn't about building things that last forever. Maybe it's about creating
something beautiful, knowing life will eventually reshape it, then smiling, brushing the sand off your hands, and building again.

Happy Friday. by @chrispatchellauthor

Living with a crime writer is exhausting.

Every time I go out in the yard, I have to ask myself:

What's up with the neighbors?

Are they serial killers?

Or witness protection?

I dunno, but there's some sketchy shit going on over there.

Well... this explains a lot. 😂
The good news: I finally finished that novel idea.
The bad news: my brain immediately came up with three more. #AmWriting #wednesdayvibes by @chrispatchellauthor

Author math is weird.

📖 Finished the final proofread of my next book. ✍️ Finished the first draft of my current work-in-progress. 📝 Started the first editing pass on that same manuscript. 🤝 And somehow I'm also writing an entirely different book with two co-authors.

So at any given moment, I'm celebrating one story, fixing another, and creating a third.

If anyone needs me, I'll be over here trying to remember which characters belong in which book.

It all started with an empty bottle...

A few vineyard views, a glass of Oregon wine, good company, and suddenly Sunday became exactly what it was supposed to be.

10/10. Would conduct this kind of "research" again. 🍷☀️
