Last few months I’ve basically stepped away from holding a camera completely. Just sort of the path life took me. It’s been nice. I’ve been burned out for the past few years and when holding that camera is what puts food on the table, it stops being fun and really just turns into work and survival.

I think the biggest upside to putting the camera down, I feel the creative itch again. I feel refreshed. To throw away old techniques. Experiment because fuck it. Why not ya know? You spend years chasing likes and followers. Watching trends. Not realizing that the obsession with scrolling is actually shaping who you are as a creative person. Often negatively. And I don’t like that. I like seeing originators. I like seeing growth. Anything else is just noise.

Not sure why the long write up here. Guess it just feels good to not care. To stop looking for the approval of strangers to validate talent or success. I’m just doing shit. And it’s nice. Anyway. Here’s some randomly thrown together iPhone footage from me trying to find a new style or whatever. taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @chrispetry

I lack fresh content. So here’s a Benz that was parked by Marble Room. The edit is trash but sometimes it be like that. Sometimes you just have to murder pixels and make it look like a $5 preset. taken in Cleveland, Ohio by @chrispetry
