Major life update: I officially work full-time for Pioneer Bible Translators! 🌎🙌🏽

If we’re friends or you’ve followed me for years, you know this is a huge step for me in both my calling and my professional life.

18 months ago, I left Guatemala and moved my entire life to Florida. For me, this didn’t just mean leaving my country, my family, and my culture, but also my ability to serve overseas and my position with FTU. Letting go of these things meant letting go of a huge part of who I am.

In these 18 months, many beautiful things have happened. Hannah and I have built a beautiful life together, recently moved to our dream city, and joined the UR community!

While life has been incredibly beautiful in many other ways, I often doubted whether God would ever allow me to serve the unreached again. I wrestled a lot. God, how do I stay fully surrendered but at the same time steward the dreams and burning passions You gave me for the unreached? I guess there isn’t a formula to follow.

All I can say is God had a purpose and a reason. I can look back and see how this season has grown my awareness of the Father’s love and care for me in ways I have never experienced before. In the waiting, He met me, He embraced me, He loved on me, He reminded me that He is faithful to his promises. By his faithfulness He has now opened a door for me to serve Him and his people!

I’m proud to say I’ve joined one of the most influential organizations in the world when it comes to providing the unreached a chance to hear about Jesus in their heart language. I’m truly honored to be here and to partner with His desire to see every ethnic group on earth encounter His love! taken in Dallas, Texas by @chrispherg

Here’s to our first year of covenant ❤️‍🔥

There’s an infinite list of reasons why marrying Hannah has simply been the most amazing beautiful decision of my life.

Lately, I’ve been really in awe of how much of Jesus radiates from my wife every day. Hannah is the most loving, humble, and seriously the most pure-hearted person I know.

Hannah sees things others don’t, and cares so deeply for others in the most detailed ways. I’ve gotten to see my wife live a life with a heart fully exposed to God in her best and worst days. She’s quick to run to the altar and knows how to live surrendered to the Lord. She joyfully chooses to live lowly yet she radiates the Son with such strength that people perceive God in her when she walks into every room.

She’s seen me in my best and in my absolute worst, and she’s met me and embraced me with such deep love and grace I’ve never experienced before from another human being.

Hannah,
You make me a better man, friend, and servant every day.
I love you for the rest of my days, mi amor! by @chrispherg

It’s been a year since Hannah said YES to spending the rest of our lives together! It’s crazy how fast time goes by. It’s also crazy to explain how I love my wife a million times more than I did that day. Our love keeps getting stronger and better every day.

Loving you is the easiest thing in this world.
