Banishing the 95th minute loss at Plymouth Argyle blues with some good music for the soul. Sitting in for Robbie Vincent on The Music Garden 1-3pm on Jazz FM, including a replay of another Robbie Jazz Funk Fusion 40 from Feb 1980, suggested by my friend Mikey T (@mikeafcw70) RIEP just before he passed last Sunday suddenly 💔. I don’t know AmeriKKKa. It’s all got a bit too weird now. Trump even seemed oddly aroused by this woman and that was the only thing I could make sense of given what we know. I just wonder if the point of no return has been reached and passed. If not, how long to restore trust, respect and dignity? I’m still expecting some kind of election nullifying “event”. by @chrisphilips

Parrots are something we used to see in somebody’s front room in a cage or a pet store. They’re all over the UK now as an invasive species. Hundreds gather in the trees in this video of a low flying squadron doing circuits around a south east London neighbourhood at dusk. Mad birds! Nature is amazing. by @chrisphilips

🎷 WE’VE BEEN NOMINATED! 🎷

We’re incredibly excited to announce that One Jazz has been shortlisted for the Jazz Media Award at the 2026 Parliamentary Jazz Awards — for the second year running! 🥹❤️

We’re alongside UK Jazz News and Richard Williams of The Blue Moment, and we’re so grateful to be recognised among such brilliant people championing jazz across the UK.

Winners will be announced on 13 October at World Heart Beat in London. 🤞

Thank you for listening, supporting and being part of One Jazz! ❤️ by @chrisphilips
