Passed my ARDS! First time I've driven Mallory Park too - it feels tighter and twistier than it looks in videos, so I reckon it will be okay for the Seven. But first, I'm planning to do The Pom in my Mazda.

Harvesting the last of our apples. Actually needed a stepladder to get to a few of them. Trees have really come on this year, although codling moths took their toll on the fruit (with the exception of the small tree at the end that they completely ignored).

It lives! Silverstone back on the road. Only did a brief test run, but seems like it's ready for the Somerset Tour next weekend!

Wandered up to the top of the hill. Found this chap jumping over the fence. Amazing athleticism.

I've written an article on the Wolseley Hornet Special for the latest copy of the VSCC Bulletin. One of the most underrated small sports cars of the 1930s, it might not match something like a P-Type MG for agility, but its six-cylinder engine delivers brisk performance and a truly superb soundtrack.

Engine out. That wasn't part of the plan for this year. Still, big plans for 2027...

I spend a lot of time at race tracks, but today was the first time in years I've actually watched a proper circuit race. Some great battles in the VSCC race at Castle Combe today - notably the Bentleys of Tim Llewellyn and Clive Morley and the Austin Sevens of Richard Carter and James Blakeney Edwards. Scroll through for videos.

Just had one of those drives where on these roads and in these conditions there is nothing at all I would change about this car.
