You might’ve seen me hint at this the past few weeks 🤭

I’ve got big goals for Broken Oven Baking & Food Blog Coaching, and I’m excited to officially announce that I’ve brought on a partner who shares those same goals!

Since transparency & connection are important to us, we created a video to help you get to know us, why we’re partnering, and how we want to impact the food blogging community ☺️

Comment “partner” and I’ll send you the link to our full announcement video! (I send them manually lol so if you want it sooner, it’s also linked in my bio!) by @chrispieta

There are so many great ways AI can be used to benefit yourself & your readers, but I don’t think that AI buttons are one of them.

I’ve heard the expert arguments for them and I’ve seen the little data presented, but I’m still not convinced.

I keep an open mind so as new information surfaces, it’s possible I’ll be persuaded to use them in the future, but for now I stand by what I’ve thought about them from the beginning, which is…

1. AI buttons could train readers to go to & trust AI over us, the recipe creators.
2. AI buttons take readers off of food blogs, which could reduce our ad revenue.
3. I don’t want my brand to be associated with AI in this way, considering how studies have shown that the general population doesn’t like AI, and I have no idea what the LLMs are going to tell my readers after I send them their way.
4. Why optimize for something that brings less than 2% of traffic right now?
5. If you’re not clear about what the reader’s getting when they click on an AI button, it’s borderline prompt injection and could be seen as somewhat unethical.

All that said, I’m not judging anyone who’s adding them! I just want to present another perspective since the voices promoting them in our industry can be loud.

I’m genuinely curious to see how they play out in the future.

Who knows, they could be a worthwhile long-term tactic, or they could be one of those quick hacks that maybe works until it doesn’t. My gut leans towards the latter, and as someone whose blog has never been hit by a Google update, I’m just not willing to be a test subject for them.

I got on stage in front of 150 people to demo an automation before knowing if it would work…

Kayla and I spent the day with the @claudeai team learning & building workflows. After the main speakers left the stage we had 1 hour to fully automate one of our internal workflows.

55 minutes later and the workflow was ready, but I didn’t have time to test if it actually worked. The Anthropic team was walking around asking for volunteers to get on stage to demo.

I said it wasn’t ready. They said it didn’t matter. So I I said yes.

I hit start on the automation right as I walked on stage…

I explained the business use case of this, walked through how I built it, and when it was time to show the final result… IT WORKED! (well almost, it missed 1 step 😂)

Thanks for having me today! Grateful for the opportunity to learn and share. taken in Chicago, Illinois by @chrispieta

For the last 6 months, Chris has been pulling me aside to check out this new thing he’s been building in the background, and I’m super impressed by it!

(He’s kind of like a kid who’s excited to show you their drawing that they’re really proud of 😆)

Since Chris joined the team last year, he’s been sharing AI updates, prompts, workflows, and ways to use AI responsibly as food bloggers within our group coaching program.

The prompts & workflows were helping our members get much better outputs from LLMs and making their processes more efficient, so we decided to package them into an all-inclusive app to make their lives even easier!

Introducing: Food Blog Studio! An AI-powered toolkit made specifically for food bloggers.

After testing & tweaking it internally for months, we launched the beta version to our group coaching members, and they’ve been sharing feedback & helping us improve it even more!

We understand there are so many subscriptions to keep track of as a food blogger and want to provide as much value as we can, so this app is included in our group coaching membership 😊

If you want to be one of the first to use it, apply to join our group! (Link in bio or DM me “JOIN” & I’ll send it your way) by @chrispieta
