We love supporting good causes and we love hosting high level competitors so it was awesome to have @erinherle as a guest instructor tonight and raising awareness for Submit the stigma which aims to remove the stigma attached to mental illness. Some great techniques and it was a pleasure to share the mats with Erin. #submitthestigma #raiseawarenessofmentalillness by @chrisreesacademy

We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and new year, it's been a huge year for the Academy with coach @awilliamsbjj making his first appearance in @ebiofficial and then getting invited back proving that he is a truly World class competitor and he is just getting started, then in to @brettjohnsmma who signed for the @ufceurope and made his successful debut with a dominating win against a tough unbeaten opponent. For many individuals and academies 2016 would of been a pinnacle , for the guys and for us as an Academy I believe it's just the beginning. The team has competed successfully at all levels throughout the year from kids through to masters and it's been a pleasure for all of the coaches to watch everyone doing so well but BJJ is a TEAM sport and whether you choose to compete or not , every single time you step on the mat you contribute to the success of the Academy , every second sparring with your team mates or drilling or practicing technique contributes to OUR success as it's OUR academy so thank you , to each and every one of you who steps on the mat no matter how often ,to everyone who brings their child or children to train at the academy , thank you . Without EVERYONES support, loyalty and hard work we simply cannot achieve everything WE have done so far. The renovations and refurb are almost finished , once again , thank you for your patience , I promise you it will be worth it . We've grown stronger year on year and 2017 will be no different , I'm excited and motivated to share the mat with you guys and I cannot wait to see what you achieve . So from all of the coaching team at CRA , enjoy the rest of your break and we will see you all soon by @chrisreesacademy

Wow , what a few weeks it has been! The British champs , retaining our team title at the Welsh , our first ever team off to the worlds , our first ever Black belt competitor at the worlds , more titles for the MMA team and more success against top level competition. This doesn't happen without you guys , over ten years ago I always dreamed of building a team where elite athletes were built and the walls were lined with belts BUT not at the expense of camaraderie , team spirit , a great supporting atmosphere , a fun , welcoming environment where EVERYONE. Is important , I always believed that a gym could be all of that and still successful competitively at the highest level. Thank you to every single person who walks through the doors of The academy for proving me right :-) #CRA #championfactory #something4everyone by @chrisreesacademy
