in just a few weeks, I’ll be attempting to run 125 miles across Tennessee in honor of my dad and everyone who’s been affected by cancer.

It’s been chaotic, exhausting, and honestly one of the most rewarding & challenging seasons of my life.

I’m beyond grateful for the people who continue to trust me to do what I love for a living, and for the opportunity to chase something that means so much to me.

My goals are changing. My habits are changing. I’m changing.

And I wouldn’t trade this season of life for anything.

I turn 28 today… so I decided to run my first ever ultramarathon, in my hometown. 28 miles for 28 years.

It’s crazy looking back on the last 28 years of my life and thinking about everything that’s happened along the way. Good & bad.

The people I’ve met. The places I’ve been. The memories I’ve made. The people I’ve lost. The things I’ve accomplished. And the things I’ve had to overcome.

One thing this life has taught me is that sometimes it’s going to be extremely difficult. We’re going to encounter defeats along the way, but that doesn’t mean we have to be defeated.

And I think that’s what all this running has really started to mean to me.

It’s not about proving anything to anybody. It’s about reminding myself that I’ve made it through some of the darkest seasons of my life. Seasons that weren’t documented, weren’t shared on social media, and that most people will never know about.

But somehow, someway, I kept moving forward, and I truly believe we’re ALL capable of continuing to move forward, regardless of how bad a season may hurt.

And looking back on it all today, I realize just how much there is to be grateful for.

Because through every high and every low

I’M STILL HERE BAAAAABAAAAY!!!!!!

I can’t thank my crew enough for making this ultra possible, @grantlivesay & @2xtwan6 yall are the 🐐’s

And lastly a huge thank you to these three local businesses for acting as sponsors on such a short notice!!! Thank you all so much, each of you played such an important role in this whole operation @fitness1440whitehouse @allseasonssportsgrill & Shane Woodard Construction

Now time to go pack my bags and get ready to head out on tour for the rest of the week✈️ taken in White House, Tennessee by @chrisrippy
