Hours of vocal editing down to seconds?

We put Synchro Arts VocAlign 7 Pro through a real-world test with a complex vocal arrangement in Ableton Live 11: 10 vocal tracks, doubles, harmonies and plenty to line up.

The result appeared in roughly five seconds

So...does it actually sound good? We put the before-and-after to the test.

Need bigger vocals without recording multiple takes?

I've been testing the new ReSing Doubling add-on from IK Multimedia, which lets you create realistic vocal doubles and stacked vocal layers directly inside ReSing.

In this quick demo, I show how it works and how it can help add width, depth, and energy to your vocals in seconds.

One thing worth noting: ReSing Doubling is a separate add-on that works with all versions of ReSing. It's currently available for $/€39.99 + tax and is not included with ReSing MAX.

Song: The Killers - Mr. Brightside (cover)

I took the @soundboks Mix out to the mountains and cranked it up to 11. I'm pretty sure the local wildlife is still recovering!

So this isn't just a party speaker. It's the only portable, battery-powered rig I've found capable of faithfully reproducing the dynamic range of my entire Ableton Live setup with multiple instruments and pre-recorded tracks simultaneously. Check the video to see me put it to the test with @mobvibe's Desire and perform "The Best Days Are Yet To Come" completely off-grid. Also make sure to check out the full 45 minute-long review on Musicngear's Youtube channel!

And of course thanks to @thomann.music and @soundboks for providing the review unit.

@m83music - We Own The Sky (Cover) performed live through the Hughes & Kettner era C acoustic amplifier by Musicngear's @chrisroditis

This performance was recorded as part of Musicngear's hands-on review of the new Hughes & Kettner era C https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7O4_1a3Y59U. To demonstrate how the amplifier performs in a real-world solo performer setup, three out of four main inputs were used simultaneously:
- Norman B20 acoustic guitar with Fishman Prefix Pro preamp (Channel 1)
- @shure Beta 58A vocal microphone (Channel 2)
- Bluetooth backing track (Channel 3)

To capture the actual sound of the amplifier in the room, the audio was recorded using a Rode NT1-A condenser microphone placed in front of the speaker cabinet.

There are no direct line outputs, amp simulators, DAW effects or post-production processing in this recording. What you're hearing is the raw sound of the Hughes & Kettner era C reproducing guitar, vocals and backing track through its 8" dual-cone speaker.

If you're considering the era C for live acoustic performances, singer-songwriter gigs or compact hybrid setups, this should give you a realistic idea of how it sounds in practice.

I Ditched My Whole Solo Gigging Rig for This 60W Cube

The Hughes & Kettner era C packs a 4-channel mixer, Bluetooth streaming, onboard effects, DI out and a surprisingly powerful 60W speaker into a compact 6.2 kg package.

Could this be the ultimate grab-and-go acoustic amp for singer-songwriters and solo performers?

Huge thanks to @thomann.music and @hughesandkettner for sending a review unit.

Check out my full hands-on review and let me know: would you use the era C for your live setup?

Your phone camera is already good enough. Your audio is what’s exposing you

I took the new Shure MV88 USB-C into the real world - busy city streets, seaside wind, cafes, restaurant ASMR, and even a loud live band session with @mobvibe - to see if this tiny metal mic could actually replace bulky recording gear.

Honestly? I didn't expect a microphone this small to sound this big.

Huge thanks to @thomann.music and @shure for sending it over for review

We used the new Yamaha MGX16V to do a livestream on @musicngear's YouTube and it was a blast!

Thanks to @thomann.music and @yamahamusicglobal for sending the console over.

This might be the most efficient live streaming setup I've ever built: Yamaha MGX16V running audio, camera and OBS as one unified workflow - in a full live band session.

Today I'm testing the new Yamaha MGX16V in a real-world streaming setup using OBS Studio, a Canon EOS 6D Mark II, and a full live band at Musicngear Studio 1.

This isn't a traditional review - it's a complete end-to-end workflow test from mixer setup to HDMI camera integration to live OBS streaming.

What stands out most is how the MGX16V removes the usual chaos. No separate interfaces, no sync issues, no patchwork setup inside OBS - everything is centralized into one system.

Big thanks to @yamahamusicglobal and @thomann.music for supporting this review.

Gear used:
- Yamaha MGX16V
- Canon EOS 6D Mark II
- OBS Studio
- Harley Benton T-Style Custom Guitar
