Last night was a reminder that the club scene just isn’t my world anymore. When we were younger, the weekends were all about bars, loud music, and staying out too late. Now I just want my bed by 9pm 😂

Chris Clayton refuses to quit.

He’s climbing the Rocky Steps for 24 straight hours during Brown's Super Stores PHL24, a Legacy of Hope event presented by Jefferson Health. Chris is proudly sponsored by @browns.market and together, they're helping ensure local families never have to choose between cancer treatment and putting food on the table.

Behind every step Chris takes is a person like Ricardo.

Ricardo is a 42-year-old father from Torresdale battling stomach cancer. As the sole provider for his son, chemotherapy has forced him to stop working. He jokes that he isn't afraid to die, he's just tired of being bald. Behind the humor is an exhausting reality: he's now undergoing his sixth round of chemotherapy.

Because Chris keeps climbing, and because supporters like you keep giving, Ricardo and his son have received grocery deliveries for the past three months through Legacy of Hope's Emergency Patient Support Network.

I remember when I was a kid I used to have these intense thoughts when I saw death, or even talked about it. The fear of death followed me my entire life with anxiety attacks up until about a year ago…I became at peace with it and ultimately understood that we’re all going to die one day, you have no control over it. Sounds simple doesn’t it? Not quite.
