To say I’m proud of this girl is an understatement. Today is her first day in the MSW program at Fresno State. She is one of 20 admitted into the Advanced Masters program for Social Work and will have her Masters in Social Work by next May. Not only is she in the Masters program she is the Chief of Staff for ASI at Fresno State. What can’t this girl do? Spread your wings and FLY @samifuhrman I’m so proud of you by @chrissienelms

What an amazing day. We didn’t get as many pictures as we wanted which I believe is a good indication of a great time. Sami received her Bachelors in Social Work. She doesn’t have any down time to celebrate! She was accepted into Fresno States FIRST advanced Masters program for Social Work. See us at Savemart Center same time same place next year. #proudmom #basocialwork #nextstopmastersdegree #fresnostate #kickass by @chrissienelms

In 1 week this little girl is getting her Bachelors. How is this possible? Being her mom is my proudest accomplishment. You are my sunshine. @samifuhrman by @chrissienelms
The past years have been full of challenges, stress, changes, up and downs. The first picture was during Covid 2020. What a complete mess. I THOUGHT I was in shape. I could hike Harvey Bear for hours but couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t drop the weight. I did so good on the weekdays and all hell would break loose on the weekends. I would go to amazing hikes and then eat the rest of the day. Then back at it on Monday. Stress is not kind to anyone. Your body changes. Your mind shifts. June 2024 I decided to take a GLP 1 and it changed my life. There are still massive stresses. There are ups and downs. There are times I stray from the game plan but I ALWAYS get back on track. Daily 10k steps, running, hiking, HIIT workouts (the gym and Orangetheory) are always part of my plan. I learned how to slow down a little and not feel lazy. I’m an avid reader and that has helped with balancing things out. Long walks as often as possible with my bestie. Working out with my favorite girl friend and chatting with my book, shopping and recipe favorite. It doesn’t happen overnight but I have built my village. It looks a lot different than 5 years ago but it’s working. I have a lot more to work on but I’m heading in the right direction. PS I need to get better at taking pictures of just me. Man were these hard to find. by @chrissienelms

A much needed weekend reset. Fresh air, watching baseball, running, sitting by the pool with a good book and snacks. Life doesn’t get much better than that. by @chrissienelms
