Our Topaz turns 1 year old today! She fits right into our little family, bringing even more love and chaos. Toppy loves mountain biking, bird hunting, and of course running amok with the boys. by @chrissmitty

Still can’t believe Woodward West is closing…
I only got to spend a few weeks over the course of two summers out at camp, but it was amazing - a childhood dream come true. I met great people, made incredible memories, and pushed myself to the limits while I was only a few years into BMX. Here’s a couple of the clips I was able to scavenge from an old computer of some tricks I learned while at camp. 15 years went by quick, haha.

Introducing Topaz Barley Smith!!

She's our new chocolate fluffball and we are already so in love! We picked her up mid-February north of Chico and we just knew she was meant to join our family.

Topaz aka Topanga aka Toppy aka Chocolate Raptor 🦖 is 10.5 weeks old now. She's doing great potty training and is still super bitey especially when she wakes up and has the zoomies 🏎️... working on learning lots of new stuff and adjusting to home and our fam.

Our first baby, Barley Dog, passed away early Monday morning from liver failure. He was 11 and 1/2 years old and we thought we had a few more years with him.

Barley went by so many nicknames: Barley Boo, Land Otter, Chocolate Puppers, Stick Destroyer, Barles Xavier... Barley even had a brewery holiday in his honor: St. Barles Day celebrated around March 17th for his birthday at SLBC every year.

Barley was quite literally the best dog ever. He was so full of energy, was so cuddly, and loved to go on adventures. He loved hunting birds and mountain biking with his dad and granddad. He loved swimming in the river by our house. He loved playing and wrestling with us and other doggy friends. He was so full of life and unconditional love for pretty much everyone and everything (except coyotes, cats, squirrels, and of course quail - yum).

When he passed, he left a HUGE hole in our hearts and will be missed always.

We love you Barley. Until we meet again, shred up those dirt trails and get all the birds. You were truly our heart hound and we are forever grateful for the 11.5 years we got to be your family.

Our baby boy is officially one years old!!

Hunter is the smiliest happiest little dude. He brings so much joy and laughter to our lives. He's now crawling everywhere and starting to stand up with support. He has four teeth and a few more on the way! Hunter is starting to babble a lot and we've heard him say several almost words like "mama", "dada", "baba" (bottle), and even "braba" (brother). Zachary is hands down his favorite person and BFF but his love for everyone is evident with the huge smile you receive as soon as you catch his eye!

On Friday, we had the most amazing "happy hour" at the Lodge to celebrate his 1st birthday and here are some of our favorite photos and videos from that night. Thank you to all of our family and friends who surrounded us that night and daily with all the love and support for Hunter. What a crazy wonderful (and really fast) first year it's been with our little Hunty! We love you so much buddy!!

I can’t believe Zac is already starting kindergarten! He’s going to Meyers Elementary, the same school I went to growing up. It’s even walking distance from our house by @chrissmitty

I can’t believe this little dude is 5 already! We had a blast at LEGOLAND today running amok, building race cars, eating too much sugar, and generally causing mayhem. Zac’s helping keep @shortyinslt and I young and always imagining new ways to play and have fun. Just don’t grow up too fast, kid. taken in LEGOLAND California by @chrissmitty

11 years of marriage and 20 years together. I’m forever grateful to have a partner like you to share the crazy highs and lows of this incredible life. From growing up together, going to college together, getting adult jobs, starting our own business, and now raising our own family. What a wild ride it’s been.
