I’m not really keeping track of the time anymore. May felt like a blur before it was even over, and the main things I remember are that things are breaking that I don’t have the time to fix.Highlights:• Big art weekend• The Devil Wears Prada 2• FaceTime band practice and 24 hours in New York to surprise sweet angel @copesam for his (belated) birthday• Going to the B&H Store for the first time• Having a whole ordeal with rental car places trying to make a delivery #ColumbusOrBust by @chrissycliche

I’ve started to become a believer that the way you welcome in the new year sets the tone for everything it will bring. My year started with the leftover taste of raclette and champagne being washed away by fresh saltwater—in a familiar but new place, feeling hesitant to take a plunge I knew wouldn’t kill me, and eager to keep moving faster than my body could carry me.If my year is anything like that first week, I’ll be left behind if I don’t pick up the pace. If my year is anything like the first week, at the end of it, I’ll be right back to where I started but in a completely different place. It was honestly kind of a slow start to the year, but like 100 different things happened and it took a bit to get back in the zone. Memorable but not pictured:• My GoPro dying as soon as I’m about to dip into the sea on New Years Day• 5 more pints of Guinness• Walking through Dublin to go to a pub next to a cemetery that apparently had a good pint• My quarterly haircut• Almost catching my apartment on fire 2 different times cooking with alcohol• Being snowed in and drinking a lot of sherry and watching noodling (fish) videos• Digging like 8 cars out of the snow• A very small dog by @chrissycliche

The end always comes, but at its own pace.(2025 felt like it went on forever)I spent most of December waiting for it to be over, and a small part wanting to relive every second that had come and gone. Every day that passed was a day closer to what felt like time starting over again, or maybe just turning a new page within myself.I took myself abroad for the first time, and visited some of my besties, because I live for the adventure of life, and love feeling far away from everything I know and seeing what parts of the experience I still carry with me. Not Pictured• Any of the hustle and bustle• Me making a tasty hot cocoa• Driving a uHaul back from beautiful and exotic Erie, PA• Anything holiday related• The thin ice I was walking on in Boston, and the rat that was frozen in the Public Garden pond. • The extremely drunk man who stopped me in the street to tell me in the most broken English that it was essential that I go to the cabaret I previously hesitated to spend 40€ to get into, when I was on my way back to it. • Smoking my first cigarette in over a year at 2am next to the Seine on a long walk back• Me learning to drive on the other side of the road• Any of the Irish countryside or coast• Like 1000 other things, it was honestly a very big and busy month by @chrissycliche

Do you remember at the beginning of the year when my NYE bubbles blew up on me, and I said that I’d make a mess and lose more than I wanted but still find the glass half full?Boy, did I call it!2025 was spent losing some of the best and worst parts of everything I’ve held on to, and savoring the best of everything that’s been left.I’ve done a lot of driving, taken a lot of pictures, and have made a lot of memories that feel like they hold the place for (what’s again) one of the most definitive years of my life. Here’s some favorite moments from the past year, and some notable events that may or may not be pictured. —————- Being stripped of all my securities and being told everyone would leave me and everything I’ve worked towards would disappear- Driving to Tennessee overnight for and experiencing Buccee’s for the first time at 5am - Being hex’d by a date because I didn’t finish their pretzel- Getting 3 styes over the course of the year- Having my computer randomly delete the largest project of my career before backing anything up- Listening to a concerning amount of Ethel Cain- Completing a creative business accelerator program to work towards making a bigger impact someday- Falling in/out love- Being heartbroken and alone in Seattle/Vancouver for a few days before a week in Portland. - Driving>hiking as far west as I could possibly go to be the last person the light touched in a day- Getting 10 tattoos in 5 months- Spending 2~ weeks in New York for art things- Walking the entirety of Manhattan- Seeing the broadway performance of Cabaret.- Visiting Glenstone and an impromptu visit to Baltimore and finding myself on a boat in the harbor at 6am with a new friend I had met the night before. - Flying to Portland to surprise Brendan for a few days- Making a drunken decision to go to Europe for the new year- Drinking A LOT of good wine, and A LOT of oysters, and spending a lot of great time with friends. I just got back to Dublin after driving across Ireland, saw fireworks from across the sea, had raclette with my friends, and am now going to drink a bottle of champagne to welcome in the new year.See you in 2026! by @chrissycliche

When was the last time you reached into your pocket and found something you thought you had lost? Was it a relief to see it again, or did you find a weight you didn’t miss holding?November was a heavy month. Every day was its own journey in rediscovering parts of myself I had lost touch with or losing track of parts that were just starting to be found. Notable events:• Wandering around Portland absolutely crashed out and trying to pull it back together• Seeing Dijon live• Being back on my bs with my besties• Driving through rural Washington to hike around Rainier to find Paradise was closed (poetic) and deciding to climb the tallest trail I could find.• Feeling rain turn to snow• Bopping around Seattle in search of a good cheeseburger and to see how many Rainiers I could drink in different dive bars before a 12am flight. (5)• Working nearly nonstop for two weeks straight• Playing my first round of golf, and doing better than expected. • Driving to Columbus and finally seeing more of the city than just the Greyhound station, and the places my college girlfriend took me that one weekend nearly 10 years ago. by @chrissycliche

October was spent standing in plain sight and feeling like I was against the wall.I’ve spent two weeks from the end of the month trying to have the mental space just to articulate that one line. Looking back, the entire month feels like it happened a year ago. Here are some pics. Not pictured:- Locking myself out of a uHaul while returning it and having to call AAA to pop it open because uHaul doesn’t have spare keys to their vans. - Long scenic drives through the countryside of PA and WA- Like any of the like 20~ projects I worked on in a 2 week period - Crashing out by @chrissycliche

I saw a post somewhere recently that said something like “What a blessing it is to be exhausted from the things you used to wish for”. I don’t know if that’s entirely true, but I get the sentiment. September was an out of body experience in the sense that it felt like I was on the outside looking in on everything around me.Lately, I’ve been felt most like myself when I’m furthest from where I should be, and like a stranger in places I’ve known like the back of my hand.I’m very lucky, even when I don’t feel like it’s true. In more memorable moments:- Saw Ethel Cain live- Listened to Duane Michaels talk- Got drunk in a field and watched horses for an afternoon - Starting trying to play tennis again- Took a break, had an adventure around Baltimore, which involved a trip to the Glenstone, making friends at the bar which led to spending the morning on a boat in the harbor for a rowing race, and passing the same 7/11 I always seem to find whenever I’m in the city. What a blessing it is to know the things you used to dream of. by @chrissycliche

Remember when I made that long post that talked about a walk around Mt. Hood, but didn’t really share like any pictures from that? Here’s a few from the Ramona Falls loop. by @chrissycliche

Between Portland and New York, I haven’t really been around much for most of July. Even when I’ve been in one place, I’ve been thinking about being somewhere else.At the beginning of the month, I went on a hike around Mt. Hood, which was really a humbling experience and the first real hike I’ve ever done, which was maybe a bit ambitious to do by myself.I ended up missing some trail markers and ended up too far up river and climbed a really big hill thinking the path could be right where I left it, but only found the possibility of becoming even more lost.I ended up tracing my steps, with the idea that if I found my way it was meant to be, but if not, at least I tried and can find another path.I intercepted some hikers about to cross the river, who even though they were also kind of lost, knew where they were going better than I did, and helped me get back on track.Anyways, the idea that’s stuck with me and that became the focus of the month is: Sometimes you have to take a step back to be able to take the next step onward.I’m not going backwards because I’m looking to end up where I started.I’m not going backwards because I’m looking for something familiar.I’m not going backwards because I’m looking to feel safe.I can go backwards because I can learn from every wrong step I’ve made and use them to guide me as I continue on my way.Paths aren’t linear. They circle around and take you to your highest highs and lowest lows, and have you guessing where you started and where you’re going. Take it all for what it’s worth, everything can mean something different. It might not always look like I’m going somewhere, but I’m never truly going back. This was all very long and not as poetic as it could have been, but in other news:• I finally started listening to Radiohead.• I got 6 tattoos in 2 weeks.• I spent a week installing a massive art show in NYC for @aap_pgh with @studiolizrudnick and @leecannarozzo, and have never sweated more in my life.• I accidentally watched the sunrise two times two days in a row. Thanks for being a part of this journey with me. by @chrissycliche
