Every year they have some of the most beautiful and elegant items. The best part is they ALWAYS have an amazing sale during the Hokiday Season so even if you feel like the prices are a little above your budget, there’s no need to fret because they usually end up taking 50%-70% off in just enough time for you to get your tree up and have it looking like it was displayed in a department store window. 😉

21 years ago, God blessed me with Charlee Sarai, affectionately known as “The Other Mother” and “Good Luck Chuck”.

Today, my baby girl is 21. 🥂

Today we said our goodbyes to Uncle D.
My father loved his baby brother so much that he named my brother after him. Because he loved him that much WE loved him that much too! Damn! Who’s gonna make the Banana Pudding now?!

My heart is aching a lot lately. No more uncles for me as far as siblings for my parents. Life is teaching me to love harder, LIVE MORE, pick up my phone more and not to leave my loved ones wondering how I feel about them.

August 2023 ➡️ August 2026 🥹

Every year, on our last day together before I head to the airport and leave Charlee to do her school thing, we take a picture in this little jewelry organizer mirror she’s had since her freshman year.
Year 3 time was not on our side so we did our mirror photo in my hotel room.

Same mirror. Same tradition. Different year. And somehow, a whole different feeling this time. 🥹

Since August 2023, I’ve been making these trips to take my girl back to college on my own. Every year, I unpack her, get her settled, love on her a little extra… then make that trip to the airport and leave a piece of my heart behind.💔

But THIS August hit different because my freshman is now a SENIOR. 🎓😭

What once felt like such a long road is suddenly her final year and looking at these pictures, I can’t help but think about how much BOTH of us have grown since that first mirror photo.

Through every flight, every goodbye, every prayer, every “Mom, I need…,” every proud moment and everything in between God has been so good. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Cayden Dane, my baby who has always been the one to cling to his mama a little tighter has officially started his last first day of high school. 🥹

I swear I blinked and the little boy who always wanted to be right by my side who I affectionately called “Ike” because of it grew into this young man standing on the edge of his next chapter. Watching you grow has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Make this year count, Caydee! Mama is always in your corner and yes, I’m probably gonna cry my way through every senior milestone.🥺🩵

The vibes were immaculate, the experience was hands-on, and Michael made the class fun from start to finish. She got DIVORCED
She got determined
SHE GOT THAT DEGREE!

I am officially a Bachelor of Science in Health Management graduate!

This degree represents perseverance, sacrifice, late nights, early mornings, and refusing to give up, even when life made the journey difficult. Every challenge made this accomplishment even more meaningful.

To my family, thank you for driving all the way from Fort Worth to San Antonio just to celebrate this moment with me. Your love, support, and presence meant more than I can put into words. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate this milestone.

To my Kiddos, EVERYTHING I do… I do for YOU! 😘

To my Gang-Gang
You inspire me. My Girls encouraged me and put up with me being flaky (due to school) and LIFE in general at times and they still call me “friend”. 🩵

Last year I watched my Auntie take her last breath and transition into the afterlife at 5:40pm on this day. Today I put on the same scrubs and sneakers I wore last year (on that day) and just couldn’t wait to hurry to the cemetery after work to release my balloon for her. Red was her favorite color and I’m running in the cemetery because I saw a damn COYOTE just a few feet away from where she’s resting peacefully. 😳😐😬😱
Anyways I didn’t let that stop me Auntie!
Wish you were here, but I’m so happy that you suffer no more. 🙏🏾
