Get someone who looks at you the way that LIGHTS and I look at each other 😂 Real talk though, this human’s music has been such an influence on my formative years and there is not enough words to express the gratitude of this past weekend. 2 days of seeing my favorite artist? Already cool. To have her go “OH SHIT. I know you! VANCOUVER!” then proceed to show her team the tattoo she did on me while explaining to them how it helped her flesh out the art direction of A6 while referencing our conversation from that day in 2022 means more than I could explain. I’m still in disbelief. Here I thought it was just an Easter egg and preplanned. Then her yelling as I walked away, “can I tattoo you again sometime?!” - I’m still crying. Thank you for creating music that has provided a safe space for me to process and feel life for the last two decades. The setlists truly gave us our own version of the eras tour and thanks for vibing with me in the front on day 2! Guys, I don’t know if I’ll ever recover from this. Daisy Chain Fields. Free unlimited Baja Blast. Bikini Kill. Doechii. CHAPPELL ROAN? OLIVIA RODRIGO WITH SARAH, ALANIS, AND STEVIE?! $20 million for charity and causes I believe whole heartedly in?! Absolutely unreal day. 4 years ago, I had a run in with Olivia during a chaotic situation in Vancouver and something that has stuck with me was her authenticity and genuine concern for us in a situation she really didn’t need to check up on. To see her pull this together at 23 on her own and to use her platform to help show the next generation of girls what happens when we band together cements her as not only this generation’s pop princess in my eyes, but just an overall solid human being that I’m proud to support. This festival was unlike anything I’ve ever been to. People living in the moment, talking to each other, learning from each other, crafting and taking care of each other. We danced like we did when we were young. My abs and hips may hurt from dancing too hard and my cheeks may hurt from smiling too much, but thank you DCF and Olivia for one of the best days a 30 year old teenager could ask for. by @chrissygerace

“Are you listening to the original CATS cast album at 8 in the morning?” The answer was yes. Yes I was. I also reenacted Hamilton and In The Heights in their entirety from memory at some point this month, but the world isn’t ready to see that yet. Epic the musical was a heavy rotation album I’d highly recommend for those of you having the Greek mythology summer. A million years crammed into 30 days. Grateful for the humans in my orbit making heavy months feel a little lighter. by @chrissygerace

I became obsessed with Warped Tour in 2007. In 2012, I finally go to go to my first in Hartford. In 2013, Fuse released a documentary about summers on Warped Tour and I watched that show nightly on my iPod touch to fall asleep. 2014, I followed the tour from Maryland all the way down to Florida then out to Denver - working two jobs my senior year of high school to fund it. I went casually 2015-2017. 2018 was supposed to be the last. I went in Mountain View and was having such a hard time accepting the end that I flew to Orlando to properly send it off. The energy with the 30th anniversary last year was electric, and I genuinely feel like a part of me has healed now that warped tour is back. We were absolutely dumb kids in those crowds when we were young, but now we’re elder emos who know how lucky we are to be here. People were so insanely nice this weekend - I’ve never been more proud to belong to a scene. AND TO HAVE A CHANCE TO THANK KEVIN LYMAN AND LISA BROWNLEE IN PERSON WAS EVERYTHING 17 YEAR OLD CHRISSY DREAMED ABOUT. Thanks to everyone who came to hang 🫶 I am literally going to a festival in a month, but the post concert depression is so real. Let’s run it back next year!! by @chrissygerace

I think I finally understand why people love Vancouver, Victoria, and Seattle so much. Work allowed me to close the book on an old chapter with some new memories. I’m leaving the PNW truly feeling like I slayed my own Polyphemus this week. I swore I’d never go back to Vancouver so naturally I did it during my Saturn return and mercury retrograde. I conquered fears and feelings - we call that growth 🙌🏻🇨🇦🍁 Also- Jimothy is one bougie coon. That neighborhood was nice as hell. by @chrissygerace

HAPPY PRIDE FAVES 🫶 I have become a pro at cramming as much into 30 days as possible. This month?Austin to take a nap at Lady Byrd. San Antonio on the riverwalk to watch my Knicks win game one. San Francisco to watch Jordan score their first ever World Cup goal. Los Angeles to be gay for 4 weekends straight with some of the coolest women this world has to offer. 😍🫶 I’ve been doing these monthly reels for exactly 2 years now, and it’s insane 1.) how much life has changed in those two years, but also 2.) that this actually would constitute what a normal month looks like for me now. How lucky am I to do these cool things and have experiences to share?! Oh well- July is about to pop off! by @chrissygerace

Sorry. I’m obsessed with this song lol This was the last full month of my 20s and I loved every minute of it. Lily Allen’s West End Girl counts as an opera as there was no dialogue in between songs which officially makes it 10 shows this month. So what were some highlights? I did accurate tarot on a church lawn. Rachel Zegler is criminally underrated. I ugly cried in front of Darren Criss. I got hit in the head with fruit snacks and apple juice at spelling bee. I saw Megan thee Stallion twerk less that 100 ft away from me. I was taught about ballroom culture and how to clack a fan from the queens. I had a free upgraded seat at Rocky Horror and got to listen to Tony Winning director Sam Pinkleton talk about his approach to trashy award winning theater. I got to be in the immersive Phantom Of The Opera which felt like a childhood dream come true. I heckled a British Magician. Manny the waiter in Times Square gave me a free slice of cheesecake because he said it was nice to hear an authentic laugh. The NYC queer scene stole my heart a bit. I love my friends. I love my life. I also hit a personal-professional goal that I never thought was possible and I am beyond privileged that I get to do all this fun stuff with awesome people. I’m truly speechless and ending my 20s feeling like the luckiest girl in the world. The sun is in the sky, oh why- oh why would I wanna be anywhere else? 🫶 by @chrissygerace
