The 97th Miss Connecticut.I still can’t believe I get to say those words.I am beyond honored to serve as your 97th Miss Connecticut.To our outgoing Miss Connecticut, Cayla Kumar, thank you for leading with grace, kindness, and authenticity. Your friendship has meant the world to me, and I am so grateful for the example you’ve set.To my family, thank you for believing in me every step of the way. And to my number one supporter, Meghan, this title would not exist without you. Thank you for every sacrifice, every pep talk, every tear, every celebration, and every ounce of love you’ve poured into this dream. I can’t wait to take this journey with you.To every coach, mentor, photographer, volunteer, sponsor, and organization that stood beside me this year, thank you. @allissalathamconsulting, @ninadavuluri, @1822.studios, and the countless others who invested in me, I am forever grateful. I walked onto that stage carrying every lesson, every conversation, and every organization in my heart. There are too many people to thank in one post, and I’m not sure I’ll ever have enough gratitude.To the incredible Class of 2026, thank you for creating such a joyful and supportive week. We laughed, we lifted each other up, and we built friendships I’ll cherish forever. It is the privilege of a lifetime to represent our class this year.To my Teen, Mia… WE DID IT! Meet Christa Steiner, the newly crowned 👑 Miss Connecticut on her way to compete in Miss America this September. We are so excited to introduce you to her and announce that Red Door Boutique will be sponsoring Christa on her journey toward her second Crown. Emma had the opportunity last week to work with Christa and style her for a series of upcoming appearances and events. Emma will be working with Christa closely to help style her wardrobe for her journey to Palm Beach this September. We are grateful to be connected with Christa and we support her passion, kindness and connection with her platform speaking on Mental Health & Addiction in todays age as well as the support and encouragement of those in the LGBTQIA+ community. You will also learn that when Christa isn’t out fulfilling all of her Miss Connecticut duties, she is teaching music as an accomplished musician and singer. You can hear her gorgeous voice and witness her multitude of talents on social media. “I would like to see that overdue dream” 👑🌈Happy last day of pride month featuring @christa.a.steiner who made queer history by being crowned the first Lesbian Miss Connecticut to compete at Miss America!!Christa competed for years when she was younger but called @lydiasuzan_ a year ago saying she was ready to come back to work towards this dream and make history. Since then, she’s not skipped a beat.
