Meet Christa 🌿 @christacocciole hosts Schmiede Stolzenhagen, a delightful retreat space near Berlin. She’s a transformation doula, a dancing queen, and one of the hosts who make Coliven what it is. This winter, Christa and @almaomega are hosting Remembering Winter, a gathering for those who tend and care. Four days of long stretches of silence, slow walks, grief ritual, song and sauna in the fields of Stolzenhagen. 📍 Gut Stolzenhagen, 90 km from Berlin 🗓 10 to 13 December 🌱 14 places, sliding scale Join Christa this winter: link in bio. Hosting is skilled and sacred work. Feeling into what each person needs, staying grounded, knowing when to mix things up. That’s where hosts’ energy should go, so Coliven takes care of the tickets, payments, forms, deposits and admin. Hosting something? We’d love to hear from you. #Coliven #HelpHostsSell #Retreat #Berlin #Gathering #Community #WinterRetreat #HoldingSpace by @christacocciole

Easing into the darkness. A time to collectively slow down. by @christacocciole
💃 Do, 29.10. #TheSoundOfGrief #Trauerwoche #Trauer #Demenz #sinnvollzusammenwirken by @christacocciole
I had a really good summer holiday. Then I went back to work with what we call „frisse tegenzin“ in Dutch: reluctant, but with a smile. I always need a bit of time to find my mojo again. Catching up with colleagues and friends, I noticed a deeper layer of it. Feeling unanchored. A faint pull toward escapism. An urge to do things differently, without knowing where to start. One conversation stood out, with my dear friend Christa. For months we’ve been mulling how grief, hospicing, and composting show up in our work, and how those same processes might help us, and others, find our way to new ideas, seeding, emergence. This October, we’re co-hosting a retreat in the Odertal National Park, on the German-Polish border. Four days in nature, with great people, good food, and still some space to keep up with work. If this speaks to you, and you feel like, join us in October! Link in bio. 📸 Last month during a hike in Dartmoor National Park. by @christacocciole
"Now so much I know that things just don't grow if you don't bless them with your patience.." 🌱 I think we have finally been patient enough - our camp will start in less than 5 days!! 🤸‍♀️ With 25 wonderful people on board we will soon gather at the beautiful @treibgut_naturcamp and dive deep into questions and processes of transforming helplessness and overwhelm into active hope and positive change. Stay tuned for some little sneak peeks in the next weeks! ✨ So excited to be co-facilitating with Lucas Nagel and @christacocciole (lyrics by first aid kit) #generativechange #erasmusplus #trainingcourse #learningjourney #transformation by @christacocciole
Belonging doesn’t begin with a panel discussion. A week on from Belonging Without Othering in Berlin, and we’re still buzzing. john a. powell opened with his ideas on bridging and belonging — then eight storytellers from Berlin communities took the floor, and more than 130 people spent the rest of the night in small groups, working out what belonging and othering look like through very different lenses. And lots of new connections and friendships were made! Thank you to john a. powell, our facilitators Christa Cocciole & arjunraj, our co-hosts and storytellers Julia Hoffmann, Monika Jiang, Jack Becher, Giorgi Rodionov, Samira Iraki, D. Raiselis and mo, and our partners — the Democracy and Belonging Forum, the Othering & Belonging Institute at UC Berkeley and EPIM (European Philanthropic Initiative for Migration). And to everyone who came to Hotel Continental - Art Space in Exile and brought a story with them. We truly appreciate it! A few moments from the night. Thank you to our photographer Constanze Flamme for the beautiful photos. Stay tuned for more from our #BerlinHub programme. by @christacocciole
