I don’t want a safe life.

At least not in the way we’ve been taught to want one.

I don’t want the kind of safety that asks me to shrink, stay quiet, stay where I am, or choose certainty over truth.

I’ve never been interested in that kind of safety.

I’ve left relationships.
Started over.
Moved across the country.
Taken risks that made absolutely no logical sense.
Followed dreams that looked ridiculous on paper.

And if I’m honest, I hope I never stop.

Because I don’t think we’re here to play it safe.

I think we’re here to live.

But lately I’ve realized there is another kind of safety.

A deeper kind.

The kind that doesn’t keep us from taking the leap.

The kind that allows us to leap further.

The safety of knowing who you are.

The safety of trusting your voice.

The safety of being rooted deeply enough in yourself that you can follow what is calling you.

For years, I thought safety and expansion lived on opposite sides of the map.

Now I’m beginning to wonder if the deepest expansion actually requires safety.

Not the safety of fear.

The safety of trust.

The kind of trust that allows you to love more deeply, create more boldly, use your voice, take aligned risks, and bring your biggest visions to life.

What if safety isn’t the opposite of abundance?

What if it’s what allows abundance to thrive?
