every year on my birthday I like to think about things I’ve learned and man does this whole life thing have some teachin’ to it - but I think this year wasn’t about learning as much as it was about livin’

this year I got back up on the horse and started doing things because I wanted to not because they were expected of me - life’s a whole lot lighter on ya when you loosen up

I don’t know if it’s old age or a good time but my legs are still sore from dancing so I’d say I’m doin’ just fine

Mama always said getting older wasn’t any fun but damn if I haven’t been having a good time

a year that taught me the importance of the simple things

a year that taught me if we only go looking for things that are red, we will miss out on all the things that are green - a year that taught me you only see the things you’re focused on

twenty five times around the big ol’ yella thing in the sky and man have I wrote some things down here and there. I’ve learned that life is exactly what you put into it and you’d be surprised when you try to put good into the world, just what the world will give you right back. I’ve learned that in order to love someone, you must love yourself a little more than you did yesterday and to bump it up another notch tomorrow. I’ve learned that this world can take the most from you, but just how much perspective you can gain from losing the best of things. I’ve learned that things aren’t handed to you, that you don’t only have to work hard for ‘em, but you gotta be able to believe you can do it just as much. I’ve learned that you must surround yourself with good people and good things to feel like you gettin’ somewhere. I’ve learned that consistency is important, and just how much showing up really works in your favor. I’ve learned that patience is important, and it’s important to enjoy the process of getting the things you want out of this life. I’ve learned that life ain’t fair but a person would be surprised at how much the pros outweigh the cons when ya heads right. I’ve learned from the people I love and the people that give it right back, that this life is a whole lot prettier with good people around you. I’ve learned a million other things in 25 years, and here’s to learnin’ a lil more by @christianfarrell14
