I can’t lie, August has turned me every way but loose 🫠lol.

On August 1st I had a seizure that dislocated my shoulder, then on August 10th I had over 20 seizures in one night & had to be hospitalized.

The recovery process has been really hard & EXTREMELY humbling. Honestly I’ve pleaded, fussed, cried & wrestled with God most of the time because I’m not used to Him making me wait on Him for things as common as walking without fatigue or helping me speak a cohesive sentence because the brain fog is trying to take me out.

But one of the most beautiful things I’ve noticed about this time is that the Lord really will use the thorn in our flesh to produce fruit if we choose to finally surrender it over to Him. I’m reminded that when I surrender the things I’ve tried to battle in the dark, there’s already a predestined outcome that works together for my good simply because I love Him & belong to Him. So even in this foreign season of HAVING to rely on Him for every tiny thing, He’s opened my eyes to see Him in those silent mercies that had to be loud before for me to notice. He’s increased my gratitude for things that I would’ve easily overlooked. He’s making Isaiah 40:31 come off the pages, and showing me what living it really looks like. He’s actively breaking my self reliant tendencies that really stem from impatience.

Would yall believe that this wasn’t on the setlist 24 hrs prior to the show? Lol The Lord literally caused me to have to change it at a moments notice from the cute lil Christian R&B set that had been prepared for weeks 😅. But after completely freaking out, I went & sat down in my prayer closet and as usual, the Lord started giving me the worship songs He wanted to hear & made it clear that He wanted me to do that on stage. I wish I could say I was excited about that but tbh, I was severely uncomfortable 😬😂 and that feeling did not leave, even as you watch me sing lol so The ENTIRE THING was truly a trust fall experience and of course He didn’t drop me lol. But what an honor it actually is that the God of the universe enjoys my private worship so much that He’d want it to be displayed publicly💕 So not my will but His be done🙏🏽
