Highlights so far:

✨ Time is more important than money, although we say that time is precious, our actions reveal our real priorities

✨our lives are brief, and so it is the quality of our experiences rather than the extent of our possessions that matters

✨ Hatred is just a result of standing too far away, not daring to investigate who a person might really be or what they have gone through. They are – in the end – very few monsters; there are mostly only hasty judgments

✨ A good friend has an eye for our emotional creases, as well as the kindness and patience to draw our attention to them in a way that we can absorb, and that won’t humiliate us.

Most importantly, they are sufficiently generous and kind to us when our stumbling, and perfect path to maturity. 🥹

RenderATL was so good 🤘

Hosting the @renderatl Silicon South Summit main stage and the AI Expo stage sponsored by IBM gave me a front seat to incredible conversations with vision-forward founders, investors, Atlanta’s university innovation centers, as well as cybersecurity and AI experts

I was all up in the software developer sessions expanding my brain so I can bring ideas and frameworks for our HappyTalks team to explore

Hats off to the @uber and @amazonwebservices for practical sessions sharing things we can implement Monday morning

Talking with founders I know and ones I met delivered perspective on so many levels • remember always ask questions - - how are you doing x? what tools are you using for _____? what’s the biggest challenge you see with ____?

Today we took seniors to the farmer’s market for a little shopping 🍤🥗

It was magical watching them interact with fellow shoppers and share all the recipes they were going to make with their purchases

And while we love being able to help, they needed transportation after their bus stop was moved - without their voice in the conversation

Our campaign starts next week to get them a shuttle a few days a week so they can start making doctor’s appointments again 🚌

Until then, our partners and I will do our part!

While entering year 16 as a Real Estate’s Advisor, God put a compass in my heart to start HappyTalks 💛

Four years in, we are helping older adults across the country live more social lives and delivering support to caregivers

We are also in the community, hosting events and advocating for a better world as we age

One thing ya’ll can do for this better world:
you have to stop calling an energetic 70 year old - elderly

Use the term older adult or Seniors
