Annual Bend pilgrimage did not disappoint. This year we checked out the active Newberry volcano (no biggie 😬) and then hiked on top of the obsidian flow (basically lava glass) that made us feel like we were on another planet. Fun fact: Apollo 11 astronauts trained here. Then we were rewarded with a pretty waterfall lunch.

It’s impossible to show the endless hours of work and training Abigail and I have done over her six years to get to today, but today it all paid off with a stellar therapy dog visit to our local VA nursing home. We’re not a perfect team but seeing our veterans light up and call for Abigail makes this rollercoaster all worth it. Soooo proud of our fluffy land cloud. And she’s FINALLY exhausted 😜 by @christiewrites
