I feel like part of me was amputated....hard day but I’m feeling the feels and slowly will turn the pain to beauty❤️🙏I’m actively working to reframe my grief into joy and gratitude that I had her for 9 1/2 years. Thank you❤️ by @christineadelearts

My heart shattered this morning but I’m putting it back with the golden memories and the gratitude I have for being able to be the mama to my dear beautiful Molly. I made the brutally difficult decision today to put her to sleep. She had pervasive, very aggressive cancer that spread to multiple organs and her quality of life was rapidly declining. So before her life was all pain and no fun, and to prevent having to make the call in a panicked way full of duress, I made this decision.I am reframing my grief and sorrow into gratitude and joy that I was able to have her as such a dear companion for 9 1/2 years. I love you Molly. I love you so much. I will miss being able to hug you so hard.I will miss the sound of your “woooooooo”.I will miss the way you tiptoed with glee every time I fed you.I will miss the way you backed up and sat on my lap.I will miss the way you got jealous every time I hugged someone and always found a way to get in between the two of us and get a group hug going on. I will miss your stunning beauty and the way you ran like a gorgeous horse. And I will miss pressing my forehead to your forehead and just knowing that we love each other so much. You will always be with me. I’ll see you on the other side. With my other furry loves. by @christineadelearts

From my Breathe series, this painting has found its place in a beautiful collector's home.One of my favorite details is something I never could have planned: the way the light catches the chandelier's translucent petals and casts a luminous reflection across the large blue flower in the painting.
