What does it really mean to be an Assistant Costume Designer? On September 26, costume professionals at every stage of their careers came together to discuss the role of the Assistant Costume Designer and the many paths a career in costume design can take.

• Christine Cover-Ferro | CDG ACD Costume Representative
• Leigh Bell | Emmy-winning Co-Designer, Palm Royale Season 2
• Tracy Jarvis | Emmy-winning ACD, Margo’s Got Money Troubles
• Tyler Kinney | Emmy-winning ACD, The Studio Season 1
• Sarah Jeanne Mgeni | Emmy-nominated Associate Costume Designer, The Boys Season 5

Moderated by Emmy-nominated Assistant Costume Designer David Matwijkow, the conversation offered insight, experience, and perspective from professionals working across the industry.

The evening continued with an ACD meet-and-greet, giving attendees the opportunity to connect and build relationships with fellow costume professionals (while also playing some fun games).

Thank you to Education Director Ivy Thaide and everyone who joined us, making this conversation possible! 🎬✨

WE OPEN THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 5! For a limited time, get $5 off each ticket by using code 5OFF at checkout!

Come see the World Premiere of the 2025 VOX NOVA Playwright Festival First Place winner, THE HENRY CLYDE CANNING MURDER HOUSE. Don't miss this exceptional play happening at @movingartstheatre!

https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/the-henry-clyde-canning-murder-house

THE STORY: Years after Henry Canning’s conviction for the murder of sixteen women, his children live very different lives. Elise has remained on the infamous family property, running it as an archery school, while her brother Harry has built a career exploiting their father’s crimes through true crime media. When Harry returns home with plans to transform the property into a murder house attraction, the siblings are forced to confront buried truths—and the lingering shadow of their father.

Blending psychological tension with dark humor, THE HENRY CLYDE CANNING MURDER HOUSE explores the commodification of trauma, the allure of true crime, and the cost of living in the aftermath of violence.

This cast is crushing it! Come see their stellar performances:

ELISE - Amy Jean Shaughnessy
HARRY - Christopher Karbo
VERA - Jen Ridgway
LUKA - Alec Gaylord
