AUGUST:

Not sure what happened last month, I felt like all I was doing was getting tons of work done while also taking care of two sweetly needy pets 🐕🐱 and somehow the month was filled with:

🏖️ 1 beach day
🪷 1 tattoo I've waited 40 years to get
🥪 1 food crawl in Sunset Park
🍳 1 private cooking lesson (taught)
🎤 1 concert
🎂 1 important birthday
🀄 1 mahjong session
🥢 1 cha chaan teng pop up dinner
📽️ 1 Chinatown film screening
🤯 1 WILD blast from the past
🥰 3 lovely meals with friends
🪩 3 dance party evenings
🌻 and 3 stop in my tracks admiration of summer magic

No wonder I'm doing absolutely nothing this Labor Day weekend! by @christinemeiwong

Unpacking 2025!
✨ 11 months of living out of a suitcase (6 months nomadic)
✨ 30 events, including 4 incredible chef collabs
✨ 1 month burnout
✨ 1 James Beard Award nomination
✨ 1 humbling and beautiful documentary by @skeeternyc @foodcurated
✨ 4 artisanal foods discoveries
✨ 4 must experience cultural events and sights
✨ 10 Chinatowns visited
✨ ∞ times weeping with gratitude and awe

2025 was a year of CONNECTION from hanging with my NYC chosen family to reconnecting with lifelong friends to fortuitously meeting people I've known on IG for years to being welcomed by an inspiring new community—my heart is FULL! 😍 Thank you all for making this year so special!

See you soon, NYC! 🤫 by @christinemeiwong
