Twenty-six years ago, I started writing a novel.

It took me six years to finish. I signed with a literary agent, and the manuscript—then called The Bachelorettes—went out to publishers. But it never sold.

So I put it away.

For almost twenty years, that manuscript sat in a drawer. I got married, had two children, went back to school, and started an entirely different career. But I never really stopped thinking about the book.

A few years ago, my son convinced me to pull it out and read it again. And when I did, I realized something: I still loved the story.

After two more years of rewriting, updating, and editing, The Bachelorettes became The Single Squad.

On October 15, my novel will finally be published!

Well, this is surreal. After a very long road to publication, I’m holding an actual copy of my novel. The Single Squad will be published October 15! More about the book (and the route to publication) coming soon. by @christinemollerauthor
