25 years later. Betty Ann Ong, the 9/11 hero flight attendant who made the first call to alert authorities about what was about to happen — four commercial planes hijacked by terrorists.

Her voice put out the warning and is the reason every plane in America was grounded on September 11, 2001. 25 years later, her brother Harry grieves the little sister he called “B”. 🙏🥹❤️

Chinatown is so dope.
That’s a wrap on BeChinatown Night Market 2026! Three years and 20 night markets later, every year we get bigger and better! There’s a reason we are the #1 night market in America for two years in a row.

Aunt Lily, the boss. When the haters and naysayers tell you no, you prove them wrong, ten-fold. You just do it.

To our volunteers, thank you, thank you! This doesn’t happen without you - the planning, setup and clean up. @chinatownvolunteercoalition @liondanceme & Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown

To Mahjong On Waverly, thank you for being awesome community partners - the volunteers, instructors and music! @mopaimahjong @onwaverly @mrmahjongs @dyannaluna

To our vendors, you bring the energy! Running a small business in the Bay isn’t an easy.

See you next year, maybe?✌️

NARA plans to move immigration records from its San Bruno facility to Kansas City. In a letter to Congressman Kevin Mullin’s office, NARA COO Jay Trainer says the San Bruno closure will save more than $4.7M a year. He says the Kansas City facility has the largest immigration holdings.

We visited NARA’s San Bruno facility with Congressman Mullin in August. The facility holds hundreds of thousands of historical documents, like Native American school records and Chinese immigration papers from the Exclusion Era, including Wong Kim Ark’s papers in the landmark birthright citizenship case.

Congressman Mullin and Congresswoman Judy Chu sent a letter to NARA this summer stating a closure is a mistake. They want more public input in communities that the archives represent.

The closure and relocation of the San Bruno files is expected to take 2-3 years. NARA did not provide details on what will happen to the San Bruno employees. taken in San Bruno, California by @christineni

East Bay Paralympian Mohamed Lahna looks to qualify for LA2028 as a paratriathlete. Lahna, now one of the “oldest” in his sport, wants a shot at gold.

In September, Lahna won silver at the World Championships in Spain. That happened AFTER the two-time paralympic medalist became the first to complete a cross-country triathlon across America with a prosthesis. An accomplishment that is mind-boggling awesome for any human, but a person born with one leg .... incredible.

Mohamed did the triathlon to raise money for two non-profits: Save the Children and Challenged Athletes Foundation. 🇺🇸 🥈🇲🇦🥉

Time flies!! 🔟 years at @nbcbayarea doing dope things with super dope people. When I left line producing at ABC7 in 2016, I was terrified. Line producing was all I knew and I was really, really good at it.

My new (old) boss told me, “it is scary. But, you’re jumping into a new ocean with me.” I am so happy I jumped. What a ride this last decade. 3 Olympics, an award-winning doc series, climbed into a tunnel, DOPE interviews and countless stories. So honored that many of you have trusted me into your homes and communities, especially in these very challenging times.

Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough. Also, this 20-limit picture thing isn’t enough.
