IT’S GROWING!
This piece consists of all the letters from all the words of every prayer recited when praying the rosary. I didn’t realize what a time-consuming, extensive project this would be. It’s a little more than two-thirds complete and I am daily adding more letters to the piece, which is currently on view at my show “Devotion” at Inhabit Gallery. @inhabitgalerie_12
It’s funny—I thought it would be taller but the weight of the letters flattens the overall form. Perhaps I’ll design a structure like a garden trellis to hold the fluffy letters up. Come have a look for yourself and reflect on the absurd lengths we go to, willingly and without thought, under the sway of religion, fashion, sports, and other forms of herd mentality.

Dissecting, deconstructing and re-examining, Sullivan considers how consumerism, institutions and systems of power shape collective thought and behavior.
