Leighton Smith & Dr Kathy Grant seasoned the pot at Christmas Comedy Cook-Up 🔥😂

For 22 years, Christmas Comedy Cook-Up has delivered laughter with flavour — and this year’s Laughter for Recovery edition was no different.

🎤 Leighton Smith stole the night with razor-sharp timing, fresh material, and a set that had patrons begging for more.
👑 Dr Kathy Grant, the only woman to grace the Cook-Up stage every single year, reminded us why energy, intellect and humour are an unbeatable mix.
🌍 Regional comedy came through with Simon Alleyne, while veterans Ity Ellis, Fancy Cat and Pretty Boy Floyd kept the laughs rolling all night long.

From roast-worthy punchlines to cultural commentary, the packed ballroom at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel proved one thing — Jamaica needed this laugh.

Because sometimes healing sounds like laughter. 🇯🇲

🎤 Laughter and resilience filled the ballroom at the Christmas Comedy Cook-Up on Boxing Day at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston, as hundreds of patrons came out for a night of pure joy and entertainment.

✨ Audience energy was electric, many joked that after the season’s challenges, especially recovery from Hurricane Melissa, laughter felt like a much-needed release.

Kathy Grant, improvised off audience energy and delivered relatable jokes on relationships and everyday life.

Fancy Cat, shared hilarious personal stories and cherished the Cook-Up for bringing back memories, including flashbacks of his early career.

Leighton Smith, mixed sharp political humour with comedy on relationships and sent patrons into the new year laughing.

Patrons of all ages filled the room, laughing together and capturing treasured moments. Many attendees including well-known entertainers and influencers were seen enjoying the show and snapping photos throughout the night.
