My grounding, my soulmate, the love of my life.

Thank you for choosing me as your papa✨ I feel really lucky and thankful the Universe brought us together by @christopher.evans_94

This is from the last duet from Ward.06 that @k.paulin_choreography , created on me and @artem_prokopchuk during Covid. This is the 1st time we ran it through to the end ☺️

I want to share this because of what I wrote in my previous post “a Sacred Shrine 7”

I feel so lucky to be able to dance and share what is in my heart in this art ✨❤️

a Sacred Shrine 7
“The importance and power of human connection”

At the end of my 1st season with the Badisches Staatsballett Karlsruhe, I wanted to make a post like everyone else at the end of the season, with pictures and words but somehow I couldn’t bring myself to do it…..

After 1 month into the holidays I have been able to bring myself to do so.
To be honest…. Moving to a new company and city with new people has been an incredible experience but it comes with its own challenges.

It’s the 1st summer of my life where for the most part, I am completely alone because of money problems, a crazy landlord who is kicking me out of my apartment for stupid reasons, and just trying to figure out this thing called “being a Human”….

And being alone with no human contact and being with yourself can be quite revealing of who you are as a soul.
I thought I sat down with myself but this is a different level. It’s a big “ego death” but a great transformation

So for those of you who have read my words so far, thank you and I have come to a beautiful realization! ✨

In my loneliness this summer, the small moments of connection with friends, and family that I can video call thanks to technology … have been little angels sprinkled throughout this time and I thank you all! 🥹
It’s so important. Especially with what’s happening in the world. And especially as artists…. We are the last soldiers of humanity ✨🐺
Looking forward to being back in the studio! by @christopher.evans_94

HEADHUNTER | Meet the Company
✨ Let’s meet now the new company members, starting with Christopher Evans ✨

Originally from the United States, Christopher began his training at the BalletMet Dance Academy and later continued at the National Ballet School of Canada. In 2010, he was awarded a scholarship at the Prix de Lausanne, which led him to complete his studies at the Hamburg Ballet School.

He joined the Hamburg Ballet in 2012, was promoted to Soloist in 2015, and became a Principal Dancer in 2018. Throughout his impressive career, Christopher has performed numerous leading roles — including Jim O’Connor in The Glass Menagerie (created for him by John Neumeier), the Green Man in Dances at a Gathering (Jerome Robbins), Basilio in Don Quixote (Rudolf Nureyev / Manuel Legris), Prince Florizel in The Winter’s Tale (Christopher Wheeldon), and St. John Rivers in Jane Eyre (Cathy Marston).

He has also danced in masterworks by George Balanchine, Justin Peck, and William Forsythe, among others.

We’re excited to see him bring his artistry, experience, and energy to the stage here in Karlsruhe. Welcome, Christopher! 💫 by @christopher.evans_94

Born in the USA, Christopher trained at the Ballet Met Dance Academy, the National Ballet School of Canada, and later the Hamburg Ballet School after winning a scholarship at the Prix de Lausanne. In 2012, he joined Hamburg Ballett, where he rose to Soloist in 2015 and First Soloist in 2018. 🌟

Throughout his career, he has danced many iconic roles — from John Neumeier’s creations (including the role of Jim O’Connor in The Glass Menagerie) to Robbins’ Dances at a Gathering, Nureyev’s Don Quixote, Wheeldon’s The Winter’s Tale, and Marston’s Jane Eyre. He has also performed in works by Balanchine, Forsythe, Justin Peck, and more.

Starting a new book of your life comes with unexpected challenges.
I have met really incredible people over the summer but unfortunately I may never see them again…. Having a “plan” of how you are going to do things verses the Universe listening to your plan while it has its own “plan” is another thing 😂

I have grown so much in strength this past week of moving, especially traveling alone with my little one Orion. I am so thankful to be in his life….. he has taught me more about life than anything!

I want to thank the people that have helped me when they could, to get me here in this moment of my life. The good ones and the bad ones….

I cannot wait to see what life will bring me in this new life in Karlsruhe ✨🐺 by @christopher.evans_94
