LIFE UPDATE:

I’m honored to announce that I’ve been accepted to the UTHealth McGovern Medical School EP Heart Cardiovascular Electrophysiological Training Program.

•

•

I’ve loved the cardiovascular system for as long as I can remember, dating back to earliest exposure in fourth grade. Since sown in a peripheral, poorly-ventilated classroom, seeds of cardiac care have—nourished and watered by research, biomedical sciences at Liberty and Biola, cardiovascular maverick Stephen Westaby’s books, a host of erudite philosophic Torrey Honors texts, DeBakey cardiac fellows boot-camp, and in-person pediatric surgical shadowing—fructified in my soul.

I can’t not love people. I can’t not love science. I can’t not love the heart. I’m desperately, insatiably hungry to know all things cardiovascular. And to positively impact the world by helping and healing people.

It’s such a blessing to be on the frontier of emerging cardiovascular innovation, using gifts like intelligence, leadership, and care to make a difference in the lives of people and families.

I’m beyond grateful for Wendy, John, Isabel and all at UTHealth. Also, I’m grateful beyond articulation for Ryan, who introduced me to the med-tech space. I would also like to thank my amazing family for their absolutely unconditional, non-transactional, sacrificial love and support. Without family, this truly would not be possible. Finally, there are not enough words in the english language to effectively convey my gratitude for Dr. Lu, Dr. Marks, Dr. Xu, and Dr. Isaacs, who invested in me and believed in me and taught me and mentored me and wrote recommendations on my behalf.

Recently, I have been afforded the invaluable opportunity to study cardiovascular medicine through the UTHealth McGovern Medical School EP Heart Cardiovascular Electrophysiological Training Program.

•

A competitive sector within UTHealth, this specific program accepts only 14 matriculants per admission cycle and seeks to effectively inculcate deep, concentrated cardiac knowledge aimed at immediate entry into the professional medical world. With over a 98% success rate, this program is highly effective at training students and launching them immediately into the MedTech world—Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, Boston Scientific, GE, Biotronik etc.—where they can begin transforming and impacting lives.

After submitting the application, essay, transcripts, letters of recommendation, and interviewing, I have been accepted into the EP Heart Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Training Program at McGovern Medical School beginning July 2026.

•

As I transition to UTHealth, I’m asking my community for financial support. Simple things such as groceries to stay nourished while learning and gas for transport to and from UTHealth will be covered. Further, funds will contribute to books, medical resources, living costs, and learning materials.
