New work for @superligaromania (DC)!

What a wild ride this was to shoot…I think Bucharest is one of my favourite cities now. Thanks so much to @matchingends & the guys at @rxmcreative for getting me on this and to Sergiu at Superliga, just the best creative partners I could’ve hoped for. Thanks to Maria & everyone at @sagafilmro who managed to produce this sprawling, multi day bonanza.

Big thanks also to @thomas_tyson_hole for agreeing to come with me and shooting it so beautifully and for sticking it out through night shoots/ day shoots and even a full-blown moth apocalypse. Very proud of this one.

Very proud of this new short film we made for @samsunguk ‘Unmissable Moments’
🦀 📱

Anyone with children knows that imagining what they’ll be like in 5, 10, 20+ years is something magical. That exciting idea of who they’re going to turn into, but also utterly terrifying in knowing how huge a role you play in shaping that person.

We wanted to create something that did justice to all those little moments along the way….not just the happy ones, but the difficult, messy, ordinary moments too. The real ones that end up mattering.

Our cast were truly amazing, especially @walshieee and @bettehayy From the moment I first saw them together in casting, I was blown away by what they brought to these characters.

There are far too many people to thank properly in one post but thanks….

@thomas_tyson_hole for embracing my obsession with using Lensbabies and making them work so beautifully. I’ve wanted to use those lenses in something since I first watched Jesse James 19 years ago, so thanks!! @jamesmid for filling every scene with so much detail and texture- a lot of it you might not see but it’s there adding to the feel of every shot and @jessicakmakeup & @beccygstylist_ for somehow taking our characters through 20+ years so convincingly- incredible.

@heysam.tv for pushing the idea and protecting it from the very beginning. @coldhab for being a legend and bending time- there’s always time!!!

And to my best mate @liamsimpsonfilm for putting me forward and fighting for me….even if he did still make me pitch against another director 🤣 What a rare thing to get to make something like this with your best mate, at a point in our lives where the story felt so close to both of us.

@ixyxi.ixyxi for the magical composition & sound design. @lewis.crossfield for the beautiful colour as always. @splurch & everyone at @coffeetvstudio for all the VFX and post, and @alexhinxfilm for cutting the 30” TVC majestically.

New TVC and documentary work for @sageofficial What a ride this was! 4 shoot days, all in different parts of the country and all within 7 days and on 35mm 😮‍💨

Thank you to our contributors (Elly, Mark, Harry, Paul & Simon) for being so gracious and letting us into their homes (and pubs) to tell their stories….it’s wonderful to get to shine a light on people, fans and clubs that aren’t always in the news and to show what it really means to support your team. Each full documentary to follow this month ❤️

I had the pleasure of directing 3 new documentaries that recently aired on BT sport (@tntsports ) for @uefa_official with 3 of the nicest, most talented footballers I’ve ever shot with. @mofire.11 @xavisimons & @luiz_henriqueee_11 🔥🔥🔥
I can’t thank them enough for being so open and honest about their journeys so far. This is a teaser of all 3 but you can watch them all on the BT sport app or online.

Big shout out to @shybairn for getting me on and for pushing for everything we wanted to do. @thomas_tyson_hole who dop’d 2 out of 3 and made the whole 16mm option possible and to Martin and Subliminal for producing them all. Also thanks to @arthur_loveday for shooting our Eindhoven episode and making it look so great- tough brief at night and in rain 🤣.
