Four years ago, I was fighting for my life—lost in addiction, unsure if I’d ever become anything more than the version of myself I was stuck in. I remember wondering what my life could even look like if I made it out… if I ever got the chance to start over.

Once again, I ran Cap City—my FOURTH half marathon.

It’s hard to even put into words what that means to me. Every mile felt like a reminder that I made it. That I didn’t give up. That I chose to rebuild, piece by piece, even when it felt impossible.

I thank God for carrying me through the darkest moments and giving me the strength to keep going when I couldn’t see a way forward. I’m endlessly grateful for my friends and family who never stopped loving me, even at my lowest. To my partner—thank you for standing beside me, believing in me, and loving me through every step of this journey.

And most importantly, I’m proud of myself. For fighting. For healing. For choosing life again and again, even on the hard days.

Four years ago, I didn’t know if I’d survive.
Today, I’m running races, chasing growth, and living a life I once thought was out of reach.
