I thought I knew who I was.

I built my life around my identity, chasing relationships, "being gay," and anything that felt like life could satisfy. It didn’t.

I lost everything. I ended up in prison…and that’s where everything started to change. I began to see sexuality, identity, and truth differently, and learned what it means to pursue holy sexuality.

This is the short version of my story.

One mother defended her son's actions. My mother did something very different.

When I was expelled from dental school and later sentenced to prison for drug trafficking, she never excused my sin. She loved me enough to tell me the truth.

Our culture says love means affirmation. God says love tells the truth.

That's the difference between worldly love and biblical love. And it's exactly the lesson our teens and preteens need today.

Many today want to hold onto old labels while claiming new life in Christ. But identity in Jesus is a total transformation.
The real question isn’t “how do I balance both?” but “am I in Adam or in Christ?” That’s the line the gospel itself draws.

Sigmund Freud helped popularize the idea that our sexual desires define who we are—a view that still shapes our culture today.

The Holy Sexuality Project helps parents disciple their teens and preteens with a biblical understanding of sexuality and identity.

Song of Solomon reminds us that God isn't against romantic or sexual desire—He created it.

Within marriage, those desires are good and worthy of celebration. But before marriage, Scripture calls us to exercise self-control: "Do not stir up or awaken love until it pleases" (Song of Solomon 2:7).

Why can calling homosexual behavior sinful feel like a rejection of the person himself?

Because when sexuality becomes who they are, sin is no longer viewed merely as something a person does—it becomes who they wrongly believe they are.

That's one of the devastating consequences of turning sexuality into who a person is. How can someone recognize sinful behavior as sin when he doesn't even view it primarily as behavior?
