Hey guys,

PURE ALBA PISH is the chronological story of my life in audiovisual form. From a childhood obsession with gaming and discovering antifascist punk, to navigating the realities of growing up surrounded by toxic masculinity. The loss of my brother and the drugs and alcohol that became an escape from that period of my life, a life I knew I didn’t want to be living.

Then came meeting Rumana, who I’d go on to start Scottish Gabber Punk with, and eventually learning to let go, allowing the universe to guide me without judgement and seeing where life takes me. Along the way, I found the SGP Family, aka the IRN CRU, where I’ve felt more accepted and loved for exactly who I already am.

All but one song was made in collaboration with a close friend of mine, as sharing things with the people I love is my highest form of joy. There’s even a wee cameo from my mum (how could I not?).

Every song is totally different from the last, as each one is made to illustrate as accurately as possible the era it’s about. So if you don’t like one, I promise you won’t be expecting what comes next.

Follow @christwvrks for more of my wonderful musical nonsense ✨

Pure Alba Pish out this Saturday 🖤👾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Some conversations are uncomfortable.

That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have them.

This week’s episode of A Cup and a Gab is one of the most important conversations I’ve had on the podcast.

I sat down with Jamie to talk about toxic masculinity…not to attack men, but to ask a much bigger question:

What happens when boys are taught that vulnerability is weakness?

We discuss the rise of the manosphere, the impact of influencers shaping young men’s beliefs, the pressure to “man up”, the balance of healthy masculine and feminine energy, and why more men need to be leading these conversations.

This isn’t about blame.
It’s about understanding.

Because when we create space for men to feel, heal and speak openly, everybody benefits.

⚠️ Trigger warning: This episode contains discussions around suicide and assault.

I’d genuinely love to know your thoughts after you’ve listened.

It goes live at 7pm tonight 👀

Do you think we’re finally starting to have better conversations around men’s mental health, or do we still have a long way to go?
