“For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.”

To be Greater

To the greatest sorority there ever was, Sigma Gamma Rho. The only D9 sorority founded at a PWI. My 7 illustrious founders created an organization that emphasizes leadership development and educating the youth. As a prhoud member, I embody the vision of my founders.

To the Truly Undeniable Tau Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, thank you for developing me into the student leader I am today. You took the a small shy freshman girl from Naples and turned her into one of the premier student leaders on FGCU’s campus. Here we are three years and four lines later. Thank you to all the pros and neos who poured into me. I am forever grateful.

To Constellations, my girls in the sky. Thank you for letting the 19 year old lil freshman girl hang with the big kids. My leadership development started with y’all. Being your ace wasn’t an easy task but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Through all the trials and tribulations I will forever be grateful to call y’all my sisters. 6 in 6 out🤭
Signed yours truly ViΣion

Whoosh here comes the tear drops. To my home away from home, the Florida Gulf Coast University Haitian Student Organization. I will forever be grateful to have served on your executive board cultivating an environment filled with love. Thank you letting me be my true authentic self.
•

As Internal Vice President, I was given the task of being the “face” of HSO on FGCU’s campus. As a 19 year old sophomore, I definitely was nervous but as the year progressed and with encouragement from my eboard, I was able to accomplish things I would’ve never imagined. Becoming the 2021-2022 Student Leader of the Year was the embodiment of my what FGCU HSO was and still is bel bagay selman (beautiful things only).

•
As External Vice President, I had a lot to prove and baby did I prove my doubters wrong. From creating the Travel Troupe to helping to create the inaugural Night of Worship and Bel Bagay Ent. , I showed what it meant to pa jam tonbe (never fall). Although my time at FGCU comes to an end, I want continue to show Haitian excellence wherever I go and let it be known peyi nou pap jam peri. #lunionsuitegrads
