INTERVAL 2025

This month, the MAD Arts team and I created INTERVAL, a multi-sensory immersive dinner experience, to celebrate the transition from spring to summer. The 4-course seasonal menu featured fresh, locally sourced ingredients and edible flowers.

Grateful to have collaborated with Chef Daichi @soupersamurai on this menu, as well as Sound Designer David @davidfriend_ for the moving soundscapes that brought the full experience together.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without community involvement. Thank you to:

Digital Archive (2024-2025)

Throughout this past year, this exhibit experience revealed to me how an art process can also be considered a living entity as it evolves over time. Working with living plants requires you to release control, and in letting go, I allowed space for outcomes I never anticipated. Those moments of surprise became part of the work itself and I found better ways to work more intuitively.

Grateful to have had this experience at @madarts_space with a supportive team to bring this to life. Special thanks to Marc, Sofia, Tiger, Amanda, Rodrigo, Dylan, and Geovani!

Ascension, my recent projection-mapped install, now lives and breathes in the garden at Domus Brickell Park. Come see it in person 🌱

Thank you for an incredible opening. Grateful to everyone who was a part of this project! Special shoutout to @tigerxcity who has continuously shown up for me from my earliest exhibition to this most recent commission.

Tomorrow will be the opening of the Domus Brickell Park Art Collection. An edition from my Digital Archive series has found a home in the garden and I invite you to see this commission in person.

The name Ascension is inspired by bird-of-paradise flowers taking flight across the 30ft garden canvas. This piece complements the tropical design language of the Domus hotel, creating a visual connection between the interior and exterior landscape. This pointcloud rendering was derived from physical flowers that no longer exist, and yet they continue to represent the endless summer of South Florida.

Thank you to the @domusflats team for supporting this and looking forward to tomorrow’s cocktail reception from 7-10pm. Hope to see you there

Last June, I dedicated myself to an immersive dinner project with the @madarts_space team. I was eager to dive into this project to find out what seasonality meant to me within a south Florida context as it is much more subtle than northern climates. This process led me to visit local farms, markets, and flower shops to select ingredients, colors, and textures that embody spring and summer.

I am grateful for my experience working with Chef @soupersamurai to create the thoughtfully curated menu, as well as with Sound Designer @davidfriend_ who composed a soundscape derived from real field recordings of wildlife.

Thank you again to INTERVAL’s collaborators:

INTERVAL further deepened my interest in multi-sensory design and I’m looking forward to developing more intentional gatherings to celebrate nature in all of its forms.

My installations have progressively become more interactive, and I love seeing how other people intuitively experience my work, especially when given minimal context. I kept the description simple, encouraging the participants to find their own flow when interacting with the floral real-time rendering ✽

It felt like an accessible way to teach people about customizable midi controllers and live VJing. Multiple people came up to me saying they could play with the keyboard for hours. As a VJ, I was happy to hear that :)

Created a new interactive iteration called Signal Flow, inspired by electromagnetic currents. This project combines my floral work with VJing and allows for participants to join in and mix visuals using the device as a midi controller.

Come see it in person at @makerfairemiami this weekend. Thanks to @madarts_space for sponsoring this project! ⚡️
