Well, I'm not attending On The Rise after all. I would have loved a chance to work with the other folks but holy hell. I am not affiliated with my designer. He was an old neighbor and I was originally going to help with the photography as an odd favor and we normally don't hang out. I'm not going to say any more than that. ✌️ by @chromalou

My body feels it before my heart does, before my mind clicks in. August has hurt since 2001 and has reinvented torment time and again. And, while autumn has forever been my favorite and most cherished season, it will forever be an aching season, too. Too many trauma anniversaries. There are too many reasons to drop belief in justice or community or family. There are too many horrible statistics to look forward to. There are too many instances of the same pattern. It feels hopeless.

Predators Prosper.

Silence is perfect preying grounds
And silence is oh so loud.
Often even louder than screams.

It doesn't matter.
Screaming hurts my throat anyways.
Oh hey,
It's aching season. by @chromalou

And then sometimes you go to a real estate "roadmapping" meeting when you know you're not able to even begin to look at a home right now, and agent is nice about it.

And that was the end to my labor-day-back-to-school-existential-crisis-weekend. 👉👉 My apartment is mostly reclaimed from clutter mess again. I have new pants that don't have holes. I ate good food. I will miss the hell out of that marimba.. by @chromalou

The last night of Swingin' Under The Stars for the Summer. Enjoyed a fancy dinner at Linger and watched the dance for a bit from above while the band took a break. Dancing on Cobblestone is tough but the space really is the cutest...#denver by @chromalou
