When caffeine dries up, it crystallizes into extremely sharp geometric shapes. The crystals trap and reflect light, causing them to appear in many different colours.

Pure caffeine is almost always delivered to the body in liquid form, so the compound never crystallizes unless separated from its dissolvent. But when it is, the crystallization process happens so fast it causes a sort of micro explosion that makes them super sharp. by @chromedisk

There’s a company called Umbrella, that uses the same logos from Resident Evil, and does IT work. At the time they were only seen around Texas. Although the owners we’re trying to have fun and make it a joke, they have since changed their logos due to legal reasons. by @chromedisk

Realising that im drawn to post-2000 control rooms because of the influence they had as a major real-world source for the sci-fi aesthetic.

From the flat-panel displays and dark rooms + glowing interfaces to the physical controls + digital interfaces, I don't blame filmmakers for using real control rooms as visual references. This ultimately lead to new sci-fi inheriting the aesthetic and why it looks so futuristic despite being outdated. by @chromedisk
