Here she is! My 1953 Chevy Bel Air “Penny”. Why Penny? Well.. she’s a copper color and that’s all I could think of at the moment. I picked her up a few weeks ago with my pops and I couldn’t be more delighted. I was actually looking for a 210 but this stumbled upon me and in facebook marketplace fashion, I got it as soon as I could lol she’s not street worthy right now but hopefully soon she will. She kinda runs and drives so still a few things to go and hopefully she’ll be back on the street.

What are the plans? As of right now I swapped the bad starter that wasn’t allowing her to fire on, did an oil change but still needs a lot of work. Brakes, a water pump, the lights don’t work, the sending unit I think is bad and it’s got a slight tick in the engine that needs to be inspected.

Also, shout out my guy @mikeyc716 @kasparskustoms for guiding me along the way with this thing. I don’t know shit about old cars but what I do know is that I love them. I might have to take her to @kasparskustoms for a full inspection.

But anyway, that’s Penny, and I’m excited to be super hands on with this car and turn it into my dream cruiser! by @chromenpavement

So here is my baby! She’s a 1972 Chevy C10 Deluxe long bed. Straight from a farm. Went all the way to Terrell TX for her and I could not have been more happy to do so.

She’s all original for the most part. We’ve put new headers, new starter, new fuel filter and sending unit, exhaust, rims and tires, battery lines, spark plugs, carb filter and maybe some other things I’m blanking on.

So happy to have my dream truck and she’s 70% done to my standards. Still needs upgraded suspension and brake system and MAYBE new paint… still debating. Tomorrow I will be posting a reel update on her. Thank you for following my page. I do this for the love of metal on wheels. I don’t worry about becoming an influencer or anything like that. Just wanna meet cool people and take cool pictures of cool vehicles…

Some new updates on the Bel Air. Something I forgot to mention is that it left me stranded for the first time 😅 S/O my guy @elpelonchas92 for the tow. I’m still having a draw that is draining my battery for some reason so I’ll have to look into that. I also have to do the front brakes, might do a disc conversion and maybe the sending unit so that I can see how much gas I have in the tank 😂 I also snapped a bolt which felt like the end of the world but we got it out. Thank you to everyone that has helped or given me advice especially @mikeyc716 and again @elpelonchas92 my family and friends that lend a hand whenever they can. Other than that, I’m loving every moment I get to be around this thing and slowly making it a better driver. Have a great day everyone!
