An excerpt from Puncher by Kristin Jakubek, featured in Issue 02 Delete.

It has always fascinated me how what is gained is rarely felt as tangibly as what is lost. ‘Puncher’ is a poetic simplification of how absence through loss is more easily perceived than presence, its shape most often described as a hole.

The hollowed feeling of sorrow, like a punch to the stomach, heartbreak like a hole in the heart. These hollow spaces, the body feels manifest in delicate flowers that are altered by the act of punching a hole. by @chromeplease
