The Best Detours Are Unplanned 🇲🇺

From the terrace of where we were staying in Rodrigues, the view looking out toward anse mourouk Beach kept calling to me. It wasn't on our official itinerary, and our days were already completely packed but looking at how beautiful it was from afar, we knew we had to find a way to get there.

We managed to squeeze in a trip down to the beach, and I am so glad we did. I waited a long time on the shore for this exact frame to align: a stationary fishing boat resting on the sand, local fishermen gliding past in the background, and the iconic hermitage island standing tall behind them under the perfect, sunny sky.

Sometimes, stepping away from the plan leads to the most beautiful moments.
