The night starts at the table... Long before the room fills up, tables are already taken. Plates are shared. Conversations settle. Wine & cocktail are poured slowly… This is also Chronos A place to sit down. To eat properly. To take your time. At Chronos, food is not an afterthought. It’s where the night takes its time. Plates land. Hands share. And somewhere between the first bite and the second glass, the room begins to shift. The kitchen has always mattered here. A place to dine properly before the music takes over You asked. We listened. Because when the room is alive, cravings don’t follow a clock: New kitchen hours: – Thursday, Friday, Saturday: kitchen open until 2AM – Tuesday & Wednesday: kitchen open until midnight Come early. Take a table. Have dinner. Or come late, just because you’re hungry. Music will find you anyway. But the night always begins at the table. PS : Swipe to see what the table looks like at Chronos. Food, shared plates, quiet conversations, different seatings the night, before it becomes a night by @chronos_nairobi
HE WALKED IN WITH A TRUMPET. HE LEFT AS PART OF THE BAND. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly why we started Blues & Trouble. Last Tuesday, The Down Home Blues Gang got things going Then a complete stranger walked in with his trumpet, joined the jam and played as though he’d known the band for years @zikkikenyaofficial took the mic And @irakozehope gave us one of those performances that makes an entire room go quiet… before bringing the house down None of it was planned And that’s the whole beauty of an open jam You never quite know who’s going to walk through the door, pick up an instrument or surprise you with a voice you won’t forget AND TONIGHT, WE DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN! We’re still building our little Tuesday blues tradition, and I’d love more musicians to become part of it Guitarists, singers, drummers, harmonica players, trumpet players… bring your instruments, bring your talent, bring your love of the blues and jam with @nairobiblues And if you don’t play a thing? Come listen, have dinner, discover someone new Who knows what tonight might bring? BLUES & TROUBLE Live Blues Sessions + Open Jam Every Tuesday from 7 PM Chronos, Lavington Mall FREE ENTRY Come listen. Come jam. Come be part of it. by @chronos_nairobi
We welcome you to an intimate, decadent night of glamourous expression. Doors open at 5:00 pm Sunday the 8th of November. Come fill your well of quriosities 🎩🔮🕺💃🏿👯‍♀️ Ticket link in bio🤭 by @chronos_nairobi
For one night…Chronos looked a little different. The eyes were watching. The clocks were ticking. And something was definitely happening behind those doors. A little glimpse of how we dressed up for our very first anniversary. And this was only the beginning of the night… To everyone who came to celebrate our first birthday with us, THANK YOU!! What an incredible turnout! I am still trying to take it all in. One year of Chronos, and you gave us a night we will never forget…. The real recap is coming soon. And WHAT a night we have to show you!! by @chronos_nairobi
The hip-hop junkie in me is ridiculously excited! Thursday has always been my favourite night of the week….And tonight is a special one! Three brothers. Three homies. Three DJs who were there at the very beginning of Chronos, back together behind the decks to close our first year properly! @mixmasterlenny @listentoslick @aintweluckywegotit 808s SOCIAL. TONIGHT & EVERY THURSDAY P.S. Spotted in this video: one of our Thursday usual suspects! Thank you @paddygedi for showing up and showing love since day one! You know who you are! by @chronos_nairobi
Every eyes on these walls has watched a year go by at Chronos… And what a year it’s been! A few more chapters to go before we turn ONE. Watch the reel to see what’s still coming this week, act by act, until the clock strikes midnight on Saturday with a rather dangerous combination of selectors… @mo_nzo · @kingoriah · @shishiwanj · @bad_m0n @mixmasterlenny and @callmedjiv And speaking of time… The clock is ticking. And so is the price. Tickets are still a little kinder online. At the gate, time will have had its say. Tickets through the link in our bio. A collaboration between Chronos × Common Ground × MKAY Management @commonground.wav @mkay_management Official ticketing partner @gig.secure by @chronos_nairobi
THIS WEEK AT CHRONOS I don’t even know where to begin with this one In a few days, Chronos turns one. And looking at this week’s line-up, I honestly couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful way to celebrate our first year. So many familiar names. So many people who have been part of our story. So many brothers coming home. And one very special guest I’ve been dreaming of welcoming for a long, long time. This week feels personal. Very personal. The curtain rises on our first year. Six nights. One year. Thank you for every one of them. Everything has its time. This week is ours! TUESDAY | BLUES & TROUBLE We’re still building our Tuesday blues sessions, and I really want YOU to be part of that journey. The idea was never just to put a blues band on stage and have everyone watch. I want musicians to meet musicians. Blues bands to discover each other. Guitarists, singers, harmonica players, drummers, anyone who loves the blues to come together and make some music. So please, bring your guitar, your harmonica, your microphone, whatever you play! Come and jam with us. Help us build this Tuesday tradition together. Live blues and open jam from 7 PM @nairobiblues WEDNESDAY | THE SUNDOWNER SOCIETY THIS one makes me ridiculously happy. DAVID MURIITHI AT CHRONOS! I’ve wanted to have @davidmuriithi behind our decks for as long as I can remember. A true pioneer of Nairobi’s DJ scene, 38 years behind the deck, someone whose musical journey I’ve admired for years. And somehow, of all the weeks he could have come, he’s coming during our first anniversary week. 38 years behind the decks. Generations of Nairobi music lovers have grown up with his music. And sharing the decks with him is our wonderful Selekta V, for an evening dedicated to the evolution of R&B and soul. @valleriemuthoni thank you. Really. You have no idea how much this one means to me. What a beautiful birthday present! THURSDAY | ANEYA + 808s SOCIAL From 7 to 9 PM, Aneya celebrates her new album with a live performance! Then 808s SOCIAL Anyone who knows me knows that hip-hop has a very special place in my heart. And this Thursday, I have 3 of my brothers together behind the decks. Mix by @chronos_nairobi

14.10.2026 Welcome to @theesundownersociety On this auspicious day we celebrated the audacious, outstanding, musically gifted legend that was Fela Kuti. We danced, we drank, and we grooved to his scintillating sonics skillfully replicated by @unkle.ankh & @nufvnk by @chronos_nairobi
THIS WEEK AT CHRONOS A smile, a little vintage charm & cocktails with a story to tell… Very Chronos… The phone keeps ringing. The glasses keep filling. And the music? Well, that never really stops… Another week, another reason to pick up the phone and make some plans And with a few more stories waiting to unfold, here’s what’s happening this week… Yesterday was a little blues, a little trouble… Our new Tuesday rendezvous with live blues and an open jam. TONIGHT WEDNESDAY | THE SUNDOWNER SOCIETY @selekta__v V & @_kip.tala take over our Wednesday ritual. A softer landing after a long day, with just enough temptation to stay out a little longer. THURSDAY | 808s SOCIAL Low end. Loud night. DJ Slick, Mr Miggz and Davvbeats are back for Volume 20. A night dedicated to hip-hop, from the records you grew up with to the ones you haven’t discovered yet @listentoslick @mrmiggz @davvebeats all @808s.social FRIDAY | K1 One of Chronos’ favourite children returns home. And if you know @k1.wurrn you know he rarely comes home quietly. SATURDAY | BASTHMA We’re welcoming back @thebasthma to Chronos for a rather special Saturday celebration. A few surprises, some familiar faces and a night we’re particularly looking forward to. SUNDAY | SKANKIN’ SWEET Well, that didn’t take long! Our very first reggae Sunday was such a success that we’ve decided to make it a weekly ritual. And after the incredible feedback on the Caribbean food, we simply had to invite Chef Christian back! So yes, reggae, dancehall, sunshine on the rooftop, shisha, jerk chicken, griot, curry goat and roti are officially becoming part of our Sundays. Kace, Lizbon and Sejo will be taking care of the curated selection from 4 PM. @deejaykace @djlizbon @deejay_sejo Come early, take your time. Sundays at Chronos have found a whole new rhythm. And somewhere between Tuesday’s blues and Sunday’s reggae, we have a feeling there’s going to be quite a lot of music worth staying up for. by @chronos_nairobi
EVERYTHING HAS ITS TIME. OURS IS ABOUT TO STRIKE TWELVE! 365 days Countless faces A thousand stories we never planned to tell Some nights we danced until the lights came on Others, we forgot what time it was altogether And somewhere between the music, the strangers who became friends, the unexpected encounters and the nights we wished would never end… CHRONOS TURNS ONE! Well, almost… And because our birthday happens to fall on Halloween, we thought we might as well make a little trouble SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31 COMMON GROUND × CHRONOS 1ST ANNIVERSARY HALLOWEEN EDITION For this very special night, Chronos joins forces with @commonground.wav and MKAY Management @makanye @gig.secure to celebrate our first trip around the sun in a rather unconventional way COSTUMES ARE THE DRESS CODE Come as someone else. Leave with a story to tell Prizes for Best Individual & Best Group/Couple Costume 🏆 As for the soundtrack, we have gathered a rather dangerous combination of selectors… @mo_nzo · @kingoriah · @shishiwanj · @bad_m0n With special guests our brother @mixmasterlenny and @callmedjiv Expect a night that moves between sounds, moods & dance floors, with a few surprises along the way AND WHEN THE CLOCK STRIKES MIDNIGHT, CHRONOS TURNS ONE! A moment to raise a glass to everyone who has walked through our doors, played a record, shared a meal, brought a friend, stayed for one more song or helped make this place what it is Because the truth is, Chronos was never just ours to build You made it yours, too And we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to have you all here 🎟️ LIMITED TICKETS AVAILABLE Tickets via the link in our bios Official ticketing partner @gig.secure Brought to you by Chronos × @commonground.wav × MKAY Management @makanye_ Video by @olickdidit 👁️ by @chronos_nairobi
