some new doodles, and an oldie!

been finding it so hard to get myself in a creative headspace these days, but slowly getting back into it. that’s honestly such a huge reason i love drawing patterns, i don’t really need to think about it too much and it helps clear my mind for a little while.

the first drawing in the sequence was very therapeutic (so…. many… dots…) i actually did that one as a water color at first and hated how it turned out ☺️ so i went back and redrew it with my beloved ink hehe

the second is from @mayagoo.tattoo’s flash sheet. their orchid designs are so crisp and satisfying, i had to try it out myself!

the third is a pair of nasturtium twins. i was playing off my geraniums twins design to see how it would look with different leaves. i love their little hats 🥹 definitely something i want to keep playing with!

need i explain #4?

anywho, im posting this because im procrastinating cleaning my apartment! now i must go do that! or distract myself with something else! byyyyyeeee!

p.s. fun fact it’s almost been a year since i had my foot ankle surgery and i listened to this song specifically probably a million times to get me through the pain lolol so dramatic taken in Los Angeles, California by @chrustythings

if i’m bein honest, when i first started getting into drawing more i’d use patterns to try to distract from the fact that they weren’t symmetrical and it shows here lol. but i love how this one came out, it feels aliiiiive

naturally i had to do a 2024 reflection post!

i’ve been going through old photos on my phone and deep cleaning my apt which lead me to find old drawings and paintings i forgot even existed.

the first being a video i took of me painting a mini-mural in my apartment. i did this on dec 21 2023 so basically a year ago haha. at the time i was really inspired by tattoo artists (still am!) i remember i first drew this in my sketchbook when i was on a plane and i was really excited because it was my first original design that i felt really proud of. so naturally i painted it on my wall?! LOL

i also found an old sketchbook from 2020. i genuinely forgot that i used to draw for fun back then. it was one of my millions of pandemic hobbies haha. but it was mostly just patterns and drawing lines that i’d copy from prints i found on etsy lol — she has a type! from 2021-2023 i’d draw every once in a while, but not as a consistent hobby.

beginning of 2024 i continued to dabble. but i’d draw a little more often. i was playing with patterns more (pic #3) but it wasn’t until i started exploring more types of art on instagram that i found a style i really liked. very specifically @nengiren sparked something BIG in me.

im definitely still at the beginning of my journey, but im really glad i fell back into drawing this year. i never thought it would become my most consistent hobby. now all day im just thinking about when i can fit time in to draw lol. i love the practice of it and how meditative it is. and i’m excited to see how ill evolve this year as an artist! (in every other facet of my life im already perfect and have nothing to improve on 🫶🏻)

special shout out to @thegomibaka for selling at my first table with me this year, it was so fun and i hope to do more things like that in 2025 🤩

thanks for buying my silly little stickers this year and following my page, it means a lot that y’all care 🥹 so happy new year, friends! sending lots of love ❤️ xoxo chrusty by @chrustythings

CHRUSTY CLOWN STICKERS ARE HEREEEEEE!

one of the greatest gifts in this silly little life is the gift of laughter. this clown drop is an homage, a tip of the hat one might say, to all my friends who make me laugh until i cry or can’t breathe 🥹 it’s what keeps me going in this crazy world! 🤡

grab a postcard or a sticker for the person in your life who makes you giggle like you did in the 5th grade during class when you were laughing so hard but you had to keep quiet so the teacher wouldn’t catch you and you thought you were gonna lose it >>>

RANDOM but i also printed some lilly vortex chrusty’s and the blue is literally so beautiful in person, i just 😮‍💨 anyway thanks for reading ily guys god bless, ya know
