the hunt for red october 🔴

i only shot red for one day.

one color, one recipe, lightly touched up. everything here is straight out of my Fujifilm X-E5. Classic Neg. makes reds go deep and moody, and Northport Village in October did most of the work for me, from Main Street storefronts down to the harbor.

the challenge was simple: if red wasn't the first thing you noticed in the frame, I didn't keep it.

full recipe is on the last slide if you want to try it.

which color should i hunt next? 👇

Jonas Brothers "Sail Away" — a cappella 🎶

This deep cut from The Album (2023) lives in my head rent-free. All the harmonies, one voice, home studio.

What's the most underrated Jonas Brothers song? 👇

Tonight, I chose to do last pack magic “Avery’s Way”… upside down. I had never seen anyone do it before Avery, and this was the first time I ever tried it.

Nothing could have prepared me for the cards that came next, but pulling the same Jirachi SAR felt like more than just pulling a card.

Avery’s outlook on life, positivity, and pure joy brought smiles to so many people in this community. He reminded us that Pokémon is more than hits, prices, and collections. It’s about the memories, the excitement, and the people we share it with.

You left a mark on so many of us, Avery. You will always be remembered, always be missed, and your light will continue to shine through this community.

See you next time, Trainer. 💛

Some of my favorite shots with my new Fujifilm at The MoMA. Still have a lot to learn but I’m enjoying myself nonetheless. Tips and tricks welcome. taken in MoMA The Museum of Modern Art by @chrysmander

Major pull alert! I bought 5 Japanese 151 packs a couple of months ago from my local shop @smokeandmirrorshobby and totally forgot I had them. They were sitting in my desk drawer unopened for almost 2 months. Little did I know, I was sitting on this massive chase card. #charizard🔥 #pokémontcg #pokémon151 taken in Smoke and Mirrors Hobby by @chrysmander
