I received this sweet get well box of cookies last night, but there wasn’t a note or anything telling me who sent it. I don’t want to assume who it was, so I’m hoping whoever sent it sees this. Thank you so much. It was incredibly thoughtful and very much appreciated. Please let me know who you are so I can thank you properly.💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻 by @chrystiff

With history being erased and all the so-called activists being celebrated lately, it is important to remember the true heroes whose courage actually changed the world. On September 17, 1849, 176 years ago today, Harriet Tubman made her escape from slavery. She later risked her own freedom and her life to return again and again, guiding about 70 others to theirs. She served the Union as a nurse, scout, and spy, helped free more than 700 people in the Combahee Ferry Raid, and spent her life fighting for civil rights, women’s rights, the rights of the elderly… she fought for the rights and dignity of all!
Harriet Tubman was not a political mouthpiece. She fought for freedom and human rights that crossed politics, religion, and skin color. That is what a true hero looks like, and that is who we should be celebrating and honoring today! Harriet Tubman is truly one of the all-time great Americans and should be an example to all! by @chrystiff

On June 23, 2015, when my twin brother, Christopher William Ayers (Chris Ayers), passed, the sky held a cosmic bubble “Sharpless 308” blown out by the winds of a massive star, glowing across 60 light years.
On March 15, 2025, when my mom, Myrna Yvonne DeerWalker (Myrna D. D.), passed, the sky held the “Cone Nebula” a towering pillar of dust and starlight, where new stars are born from the remnants of the old.
These pictures remind me that their spirits live on, they live on, woven into the universe itself.
Forever missed. Forever loved. Forever part of the cosmos by @chrystiff

Trump is not the first U.S. president to blame immigrants for the nation’s challenges. This tired, racist playbook has been used throughout history to distract from systemic failures. Almost a century ago, during the Great Depression, the U.S. government forcibly deported and put in camps over 2 million Mexicans and Mexican Americans—many of them U.S. citizens—under the false claim that they were responsible for economic hardship. Sound familiar?

History is repeating itself. Instead of addressing real issues like corporate greed, wage stagnation, and economic inequality, Trump and his billionaire oligarchs are using immigrants as scapegoats so the American people don’t see what they’re really doing—looting the country for their own gain and destroying democracy in the process. This is inhumane and unacceptable. We must learn from the past and reject these divisive, dangerous tactics.
