Design inspiration can come from anywhere!

Strolling through a bookstore in downtown Los Angeles, we fell in love with the color of a bookcover and used it as the jumpstart for this guest bedroom!

So put down your phone, get outside, and explore. You very well might see your next design inspiration!

Here at CHT Design Studio, we’re addicted to styling bookcases!

There’s a science to creating beautiful, interesting bookcases. Item counts, repetition, and placement all play an important role in the formula. But don’t worry, we can help you with that part.😉

For now, focus on what you want to convey on your shelves. What’s your story, your passion, your obsession? Each shelf should include something you love, objects that showcase your addictions!

So if you’re a lover of books, display your favorites. If you love to travel, display your most treasured finds. Whatever it is, let your shelves tell the story and let’s get styling!

Design details are like the beauty mark on a pretty face, they add character and make a lasting impression.

It’s not just about adding accessories. It’s about noticing the details on the accessory. It’s the sparkle of cut crystal, the patina of worn metal, the amber glow in lighting that bring a room to life. These thoughtful details transform an ordinary space into an unforgettable one.

In design, it’s always in the details.

It’s Monday...Can we talk?

I believe every home should have a ‘whoosahhh’ space, a spot in your home or garden where you can routinely get away and do something you love. My space is my morning room. There’s nothing like waking up early, while my house is still at rest, opening casement windows, and listening to birds chirping and water spilling over the pool’s edge.

What’s your favorite quiet place at home?

The Great Reset. A bespoke bar design for this home because the only “old fashion” that belongs here is in a whiskey glass. #remodel #bar #interiordesign by @cht.design.studio

The most beautiful spaces aren't styled with trends. They are curated to reflect the places you've been, the stories you carry, and the style that's uniquely your own. After all, that's why it’s a place called home. by @cht.design.studio
