Grieving a dog that’s still alive can feel so strange.

For a long time, I treated those thoughts like something I needed to push away. I thought they meant I was being negative, instead of noticing how much love was underneath them.

Realizing other dog moms feel this too changed how I see those moments. I don’t need to turn the thought into something bigger than it is.

Meet Haku 🤎 @hakuchandaily

Haku is a little white Shiba Inu with a big personality. Independent, stubborn, and full of his own little quirks, he likes to keep his hoomans guessing.

Sometimes he wants all the attention, and other times he prefers doing his own thing. But when he chooses to come over for cuddles or quietly rest by his human’s side, those little moments become extra special🥹

Signs after losing a dog.

I don’t know if dogs can come back to us after they die. But I do believe some experiences can leave you with a feeling that is hard to explain.

My friend’s story made me think about how deeply we stay connected to the dogs we love. Maybe we never get a clear answer, but I do believe love never really leaves us. It just changes form.

Meet Molly 🤍 @bordercollie.lifeofmolly

Molly is a Border Collie puppy with the sweetest heart. Whenever someone is sad or crying, she’ll come over to lick away their tears and stay by their side🥹. She just knows when someone needs a little extra love.

She also loves going along to pick up her little human from school. And when she sees her, her whole body wiggles from side to side with happiness!

But Molly actually is still very much a puppy herself! She loves to play, herd footballs, and learn new things. She’s a fast learner, although you can sometimes tell she has her own agenda.
